I was forced to leave exactly 10 min after getting my food. A few people arrived and were waiting for a table for no longer than a few minutes when one of the staff loudly said 'That guy is finished but..' pointing in my direction. I was chewing my last bite, my coffee almost intact. Then as I pushed my plate away and wanted to drink the coffee, they teleported next to me asking if I wanna order something more. I said no thanks and they returend but I could honestly feel their stare. When I looked up, there they were, looking right at me, along with the person waiting. I then asked for a bill (it arrived in 10 seconds) and payed. I then seriously felt the need to say that I will be just another second. This gave me the time to gulp down a large americano. I understand that I was sitting alone on a small terrace, however thats no excuse for making me feel unwelcome, its not like I was hogging the table unreasonablly long. I have lived in Barcelona for 2 years and never expirienced anything similar before. There were other people there that got their food before me but they have not been pushed to leave However they were posh tourists, while I came down from my appartment in everyday clothes. Draw your own conclusions.
I had an ommlete that was ok. In summary - good for your Instagram but for authentic Barcelona expirience...

Read moreI love this place and everyone does because brunching is amazing in BCN. But truth is that this place has decreased its quality and for the love of food and the art of brunching, someone has to say it.
Came for some pancakes, only god knew how much I wanted pancakes that day. come on, something simple and easy. They were uncooked, no whipped cream and all the mix simply raw. How do you screw pancakes??? When I call the waiter he replies with a very defensive tone and not very professional. He takes the dish back and offers a replacement, but to be honest I was upset already. Service was pretty slow too.
I've seriously gave it another try, dissapointed again. That is not an Hollandaise sauce for the love of Benedict. Liquefied, no taste or texture. And chef, we both know it.
Came a third time for a final round, English breakfast. It was good, finally. But the service slow and lame.
I really loved this place, but every time is something different. Rather try another...
