Casa López — Restaurant in Barcelona

Came here for lunch after a visit to Casa Vicens. Food was wonderful, very affordable, and quick service, at an authentic and very local establishment. We got a cheese plate, jamon croquettes, and paella to share, as well as a beer and a tinto de Verano. €27 in total, great prices! Food came out quickly and I honestly think it was some of the best food I had in Barcelona. Although we were the only tourists/English speakers in the place, they made us feel very welcome and were patient and kind with my intermediate Spanish skills.

Although the sign might look deteriorated, this place is a hidden treasure. There is no English menu available, but if you managed to choose something to your liking and have a look around, you will find yourself in an authentic local environment. The waiters do speak English, and the food is brilliant. The golden-brown fried seafood is something unmatched, and generally 2 tapas are just enough even for the hungriest. This little restaurant is like a portal to the most authentic local atmosphere, I would recommend it...

After an hour of googling for a place to eat near our apartment, I decided to give this place a chance. We were seated immediately without reservation. The servers are awesome, the food comes really quickly and is very fresh and tasty. The food portions are also enough. We paid 55 Euros for all this, to be shared among 4 of us. It was well worth it.
