.IT - Italian Tradition — Restaurant in Barcelona

I did not mean to write anything but after the overall terrible experience at this place I feel responsible to honestly share it with other people. I ordered a Carbonara which was so salty that it was uneatable, I felt as if I'm eating nothing but the salt itself. I asked my friends to try it, to make sure I'm not crazy, and they confirmed. So I went to the cashier and kindly asked if it could be replaced with ANYTHING else. But the answer was that the kitchen is already closed (5-10 minutes after they gave us food?). Seriously, in this situation I would have prepared some quick sandwich for the guest at least, but even another carbonara is no more than 10 minutes of preparation. So I came back to the table knowing that I won't have any dinner that night. A minute later a waitress came and took my plate leaving me with empty table while my friends were eating (it's not nice even if I wasn't going to eat this meal, it should be taken with the other plates together after we are done). My friends shared their food with me so I'm not hungry for the rest of the evening. A while later (still eating) a waiter came and asked if there's something else to be taken, we said we haven't finished, and another few minutes later he came again to rush us to go out because they were about to close the place. Then we had to wait outside in a cold for the taxi. Worst customer service I ever had in Barcelona. We don't recements to anybody this restaurant with small kids And we never go back.

We arrived the restaurant around 2:30pm, there was only 1 other group eating there. ( there were plenty of seats available) As soon as we arrived, the waiter asked us with a very disgusting face, "if we made an appointment or not" My husband apologized we didn't make an appointment.

I ask my husband to leave this restaurant, because the waiter is not welcoming us at all. But my husband insisted to stay and eat there.

Our communication with the guys were, There is no pizza with anchovy, he showed disgusting face *kids should not run at this restaurant, with disgusting face *You should put mask on when you go to toilet, with disgusting face

I understand what he requested are normal things, but there is the way to communicate, if he is professional waiter. If he want to costumers will be happy at restaurant.

The system is to pay and then go collect your food. Which is dumb cause if you’re sitting at the table and you want something you didn’t originally pay for, you have to go in line again. Waited in line 20mins to order, waited another 20 to get my carbonara which simply wasn’t carbonara. There were 2ppl by the cash register station and one of them was just standing there even if the line was about 20ppl. No service, as you go pick up your own food. If you want a very poorly imitation of Italian food that’s your spot. If you want authentic Italian food just save your money and go...
