Waitress was extremely rude. My little boy wanted churros but she said he couldn’t have them and then proceeded to explain (in Spanish) the menu which was photographs (bizarre and already a bad sign of the quality of the food). I was about to say oh well never mind and order some drinks and she snapped the menu shut and made us leave as if we had done something really offensive. Totally ruined the day and my experience in Poble Espanyol and actually made be feel nervous ordering food for the rest of my trip, which is a shame as everywhere else in Barcelona the people were lovely. I understand more Spanish than I can speak and she was being extremely rude. I see others have had the same issue so I’m not sure how she is still employed. My moms pasta carbonara was watery, cold, had 2 little ham cubes and didnt taste like anything. Our coke zero was euro 3,50(!!!!) and we had to pay 50cents PER thing on the menu just for sitting outside. I complained hard and the lady waived that extra cost, knowing all too well that her place was a disgrace. Other restaurants at Poble Espanyol didnt look good either. We saw a table where people got Melba(!) toast as a tapa. This is NOT a good representation of Spain. Do yourself a favor and bring food to Poble Espanyol or go eat in any place...
Read moreI think this place is okay just for the drinks. Our sangria was good, and waiter who served us nice. We got drinks fast. However, we waited an hour for our food- one paella and meat plate. Paella was clearly burned and I just ate the middle. Meat plate- almost all of it was canned/frozen food. The lady who gave us food just threw it on the table, along with receipt, mumbling something with herself. Don’t...
