Fira Centric Apartments — Hotel in Barcelona

Location is great but cleanliness has a lot to be desired. We had to request our apartment get cleaned after finding a cockroach wandering arouns (which they did without any argument and we're apologetic about).

Walls in the apartment is VERY thin (you can hear your neighbours through the walls (including using the toilet... Not nice!). There's also the strong smell of cigarette smoke around our apartment which isn't nice when there are no smoking signs everywhere!

Nice balcony to sit out on and there is airco that works very well.

Beds weren't that comfy and I'd appreciate more towels/blankets. There was also not a lot of toilet roll left and the sponge for the kitchen looked like it had been used A LOT before. There was no coffee pods provided or anything to "help" with the apartment (no oil, salt/pepper, kitchen towel) etc.

I stayed here in 2014 and it was a completely different experience. This time was not so good and not sure I'll be back.

It was very close to everything. That was the positive. The place was also pretty clean and comfy. It is big enough for our group of four. The staff was pretty friendly. The rooms AC was either not working or we did not know how to use it. It was either too hot or too cold in the apartment. The beds could use a bit of an upgrade but they were usable. Very loud area. I’m a pretty heavy sleeper but you can hear people laughing, chatting and shouting at 1-5AM in the morning. It was not pleasant. Walls are very thin! You can hear your neighbours like they were in the same room. Unfortunately we had a noisy group of guys below us and they were playing loud music and I believe were smoking all night because we could smell it. My family and were here for a few days. The apartments were not up to expectation. The apartment has cigarette smell despite one of the rules stating no smoking. The couch had lots of hair and was really uncomfortable to sit on, it was like the cleaner didn't bother cleaning it. The floor had lots of long hair as well. The bed sheet was stained with oil, the pillow sheet had hair as well. We were also asked by a female staff for our passports for their record, when my family and I gave our passports for her to scan she seemed like she's so tired to even acknowledge us.
