Performance was spectacular, the singers and dancers had such passion in their performances. What fell very short is the food. I basically didn’t eat my tapas, the quality was low. The sauce on the potatoes were like they came out of a nacho cheese sauce can, chicken was very dry. The Russian salad was not edible as it tasted awful. I basically stuck to eating the crackers, cheese and olives (things not made my the venue). The sangria wasn’t any better either. The waiter was great, the food just wasn’t at the level it needed to be at. If they could fix this, it would be great.
Other thing was this is kind of far away from everything central, it is inside another venue. When you book this, it gives you access to go in Poble Espanyol, but you don’t realize that until they send you your tickets. The google maps location completely confused my Cabify driver as he was driving in circles that brought him to the parking lot and he had to ask a local how to get there.
For the late seating (after 8), pretty much nothing was really open in the venue around 6-630pm. I would suggest they do earlier seating options instead of 6/8pm to like 4/6pm, provide clear communication on where and within what venue it is in before booking, and most importantly a need of a ten fold increase in food quality.
Until then, if you choose to go to this, I suggest go to the earlier one and come in earlier when things are open, you get access at 4pm, but this isn’t clearly advised until after you book it. Lack of clear communication here appeared to be a major struggle. Most importantly I would also not recommend booking any dinner or keeping the food options booking to a minimum until they revamp their food. You are simply better off booking the bare minimum show and going somewhere that the food is edible. After eating at excellent places in Barcelona and then coming to this food was shockingly beyond disappointing. Simply if the food was way better, my review would...
Read moreWe want to share our incredible experience at Tablo de Carmen, a place that captivated us in an extraordinary way. The flamenco show we had the privilege of attending left us amazed and enchanted from the moment the lights came on. It was a true spectacle of passion, energy and dedication to the art, and it was evident that the performers had a deep love for what they did.
The flamenco performance was simply magnificent, capturing the essence and emotion of this form of cultural expression in an engaging way. Every step, every movement, every chord of the music seemed to tell a story of its own, and it was clear that the performers were giving their soul to the stage. We were mesmerised by the intensity and talent of everyone involved.
In addition to the impressive show, Tablo de Carmen also provided us with an exceptional dining experience. The tapas selection was a true celebration of the flavours of the region, and each dish was simply delicious. It was a culinary immersion that allowed us to savour authentic and irresistible Spanish dishes. The diversity of flavours, combined with the welcoming atmosphere, made the meal even more special.
We cannot fail to mention the incredible friendliness of the people who served us. The staff made us feel welcome and comfortable from the moment we walked in. Their attention to detail and willingness to ensure we had a truly memorable experience was remarkable. Thanks to their hospitality, everyone felt accommodated and content with the service.
All in all, Tablo de Carmen offered an evening that will forever remain in our memory. From the flamenco show that touched us deeply to the dining experience that immersed us in the flavours of Spain, this venue is truly special. The artists' passionate dedication to the art, the quality of the tapas and the friendliness of the staff created a complete and unforgettable experience. We can't wait to come back and relive these magical...
Read moreWe were really looking forward to seeing Flameco dancing in Barcelona as we have seen a performance in each city we are living in while spending Fall here in Spain. It was cool that it was in Poble Espanyol so you can visit that after 4pm the day of your show. We went to the later show and we had a reservation for the mid-priced Tapas and Show about 7 days ahead of the evening we reserved. The food was good and filling and the dancers were great (what we could see-more on that to come). Our only complaint, which I told the managers before we left early, was that even though I had reserved the Tapas tickets for 68 Euro we were put in the worst seats I could see in the entire venue. I am also sure we did not get the last tickets available since all of the ticket types were available when we booked. See picture. So, very plainly, we could not see the performers (dancers and singers, guitarists). The tables are reserved by the management before the show and you can not select your seats but why not make that table for the cheapest tickets? So we could not see the dancers feet or the singers sing or the guitarist guitar but two seats were 150 Euro. I feel bad about this as they were very curious why we were leaving early and seemed genuinely interested in our enjoying the show but maybe they should not seat that table. Also, do not show up until after 8:30 as there is a line but it doesn't matter since your seats are already...
