I hate to be a Karen here, but… I had the strawberry and mango sorbets at Cloud in Plaza Rovira i Trias — both sugar-free and absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, despite how good the product is, I won’t be going back.
I brought my own reusable container (since they serve scoops) and politely asked if they could serve the ice cream in it. Not only did the owner/manager flatly refuse, but when I asked why, he simply replied, “Cosa mía” — essentially “my business, my rules.” I wasn’t demanding special treatment; I just wanted a reasonable explanation. If it’s a hygiene issue or a regulation, fine — just say so. But brushing off a customer with that kind of attitude is unprofessional and unnecessarily rude.
If you’re looking for delicious sugar-free ice cream and respectful service, I highly recommend Nuda, just down the street on Carrer de la Providència. The flavors are amazing, and they treat customers with basic courtesy.
UPDATE:] I saw the owner’s response denying this ever happened. Let me refresh his memory: it was Monday, April 28th, 2025 — the day of the massive power outage that affected most of Spain and Portugal. I live in the neighborhood and have brought many people to this place over time. I have absolutely no reason to waste my time writing a negative review unless this truly happened — and it did. My time is worth more than that. I’m writing this because it’s a matter of principle.
Being told “cosa mía” when I simply asked why my request was denied was not just unprofessional — it was un-fing-acceptable. Denying the experience only makes it worse. I stand 100% by...
Read moreI knew I had to get gelato while in Spain (it’s just not as good in the states) and I looked on google to look up the best ranked one in the area I was in, and found this place. It did not disappoint. This is authentic Italian gelato, reminding me of some of my favorite gelaterias in Italy. They only let you try one sample (according to the owner, multiple samples are an American thing) and I was lucky to enjoy the one I tried! I got the pistachio and the peanut. Both were creamy and flavorful, but the peanut was my favorite. The peanut flavor came with caramelised peanuts on top, which gave a nice crunch to the gelato. Outside they also have seats that look like pews from a church you can sit and eat out of that’s facing a park. Highly recommend if you’re...
Read moreThe quality of the gelato here is amazing! Just as good as what I've tried in Italy. Between the two pistachio bronte and trinacria, trinacria is the more flavourful one! Chocolate (cacao one) is wonderfully creamy and really brings out the flavour of dark chocolate (not too sweet, tastes like real chocolate and actually not like cocoa powder at all). The stracciatella is also really good with generous chunks of chocolate. For coffee lovers the coffee ice cream won't disappoint either. Lemon was slightly too sweet for me tho. This is the first ice cream place outside of Italy that has really impressed me. Price: 3.50 € (2 scoops), 5€ for 3 scoops.
Unfortunately they don't have a...
