Goiko | Independència — Restaurant in Barcelona

On the 30/10 there was a promotion at this restaurants, it was the two for one; I went there for the first time with my family (we live in London so we was on holidays) and our experience was terrible, starting with the fact that this promotion wasn't applied to us.

Prior to our order we asked the waitress if we could use it and he said yes, but when we went to pay at the tills the manager there told us that the promotion could only be use by one person at the table (we were 6) when on your website says the opposite. The treatment by the manager was not appropriate the entire time we was there as he kept ignoring us whenever we needed something at the table (the other waitress at the restaurant were busy while he was standing there pretending to do something and ignoring our calls). At the end we ended up paying full price of everything as he said we could only use the promotion for one (it was pointless using just one), we only got to use a local discount (15%) but we're still not please either with the treatment at the restaurant and the amount we had to pay as is unfair that this promotion wasn't applied to us when we had all the right to use it.

I wouldn't recommended this restaurant, the food good but the staff terrible, not trained and uninformed (I say untrained because I'm also a manger at a restaurant in London and uniformed as they were clueless to the promotions available by the company...

My partner and I just left this location, which I should add that we frequent at least once a week. I've never been so disappointed in the preparation, care, and follow up service taken with my order. The server took my order, without the assistance of the ordering tablet, which resulted in my order being incorrect. He apologized and while I waited for the correct order, my partner finished his entire meal. Once my order arrived, the fries were cold, as many others have previously concurred; however the biggest issue is that the burger was raw. The entire middle and very close to the perimeter of the burger was completely raw and cold. My partner and I were in complete shock and what's even more shocking was that we told the server and he didn't do anything. We were also charged full price and as you can clearly see in the photos, the meat is very very pink. Extremely unfortunate and unbelievable experience. You can experience better: quality, service, and overall dining experience at the establishment...

(Tasty burgers! Staff super firendly! Ambience is nice. Kevin bacon burger the winner.) so this was my original review months ago came back and to be honest WILL NEVER GO BACK! Service has changed so much in there!! The girls working there make you feel that you are doing them a service! They stare at you, raise their eyes!! My nice ordered a cocacola and she slammed it on the table, without even opening it!! We had to call her again so she opens the bottle. After this second time there we decided to give them a third try again (for the burgers) and again just coming in the girl not even “hello” just like yes? We said a table for 3 and she answered “you don’t have a reservation? And rolled her eyes up!! So rude... she has no manners what so ever or tactics to give us another time, option. The restaurant was empty!!!!! Thank God we have Timesburg in front. And we ate looking how empty Goiko Grill was. A joke. Never going back. Change your staff!! Or at least train them...
