Gran Clariana — Attraction in Barcelona

Gran Clariana is a good concept that has been poorly executed. It’s a dusty area due to the dirt track encircling the grassy area. Additionally, there is limited seating that is always covered in dust. There are only 2 poorly maintained tables with seating in a nearly 2 hectare space.

People, especially children, are desperate to sit in the fenced-off grass area and have actual contact with grass and trees. People don’t want more concrete or dirt areas in this city; we want grass and trees. There’s only one small area with shade, which means limited usability since everyone is practicing social distancing.

In my second photo you can see Mossos removing everyone enjoying the green area. Since then signs have gone up, which you can see in my first photo, as well as how poorly the dirt / gravel function in this space.

This park is an illusion when it comes to usability and needs some serious work to truly serve...

A book club makes huge difference as they also offer recliners, tables, chairs, toys, and, sure, books to read. Free! So you can enjoy resting in shade, or sun.

There are also water feature for kids to play, huge slides and other things for older kids, things for younger kids, dogs playground/fenced enclosure.

I found some interesting trees, a cactus garden.

Fantastic care was put into creating this new place for people of barcelona, and it is well used -in weekends lots of families come here, bring picknicks Taking care of their own rubbish, obviously -the park is clean!

We need more parks like this, I wish british council can...

My dog and I were so disappointed that she could not go around freely and actually not even get in the park, even with a leash - when we can’t walk anymore our dogs without a leash anymore, it is becoming incredibly sad to see parks that do let us our furry friends run for a bit or even get in - especially when we know there is not many spaces around available to do so. The dogs specific spaces are a very short-term solution - my dog enjoys them the few first times, but I personally don’t…. It leaves her all dirty and she gets bored after a few time 😢 I wish this park would let our dogs spend a nicer time with...
