They say there are 3 important things when having a restaurant: location, location, location. And that's the only thing this place has to offer, and whilst good, it isn't breathtaking nor extraordinaire. Sea view, that's it. They charge you the view, that's for sure: plastic glass, only canned beer (and only one brand/type), toy-wood cultery which doesn't cut the food they serve.... oh, and yes, only one plate offered. Table management is also a downvote. The best three tables were reserved, and absolutely no one showed up during the hour an a half we were having lunch. When asked, they say "those are reserved", not even pointing a time limit for using them. Really unefficient management, on top of leaving out the only places that may perhaps justify how much you pay. PS: not necessarily the place's fault, but be aware of bees. They get big and annoying when food arrives.

I can not really comment on the food or drinks, only the service. I had found this place on Google Maps as was excited to have a drink here after a long walk around the Montjuïc Castle. When we arrived, however, we were told there were no seats available (there were 2 of us). Looking around there were several open tables and when we tried to ask the waitress how long a wait there would be, she just shrugged her shoulders, told us they were full and walked away. I've posted the pictures I took to show the empty tables available when we arrived. Perhaps there were reservations, but had no way of knowing. Really felt as if we were treated poorly because we were tourists. Unless you have reservations here, I wouldn't risk taking the time to walk here as it's a long way to get there and back from the castle when you might not be able to get served.

[2019] Beautiful place to have a beer and a bite, but the service mostly sucks! Servers walked by, refused eye contact, came and went empty handed. Finally, this one guy -- the only one who was hustling -- said he was in the weeds and I'd be better getting my own beer from the small building. In the building, one worker was checking her phone and smoking a cigarette and didn't acknowledge me. I finally got my refreshment, and the day turned out well. But this one hard-working server needs a pay raise, he rocks. [2023 June] Despite the service, this is still one of my favorite places in BCN to relax with a beer and take in the views. Their website still shows opening hours for Autumn and Winter, but there's contact info where you may be able to make reservations -- use WhatsApp, they don't answer phone calls or email.

The two stars are for the location and that the beer is reasonably priced. Although having said that there isn't much in the way of table service and you have to enter a small smelly hut to buy your beer. The BBQ is 20 euros PP. For that you get a paper plate with a slice of bread, a bit of limp salad, a BBQ'd sausage and some undercooked chicken. The flies will probably be given a bit of time to have a go at your food before the limited table service brings it to your table. The food is prepared next to the toilet. When the food arrived I couldn't face eating it, so I returned it. They accepted that the chicken was undercooked, but seemed to think flies were to be expected. I suggested they cover it while it's out in the open. The idea seemed to offend the lady in charge. They still charged me 5 euros just for being there. I hope by writing about my experience, they will improve their food hygiene. Unfortunately it's a popular place, so there is possibly little incentive. It is a nice place for a drink though, so don't be put off if that is...
