We have just finished the most bizarre meal and the worst service at this restaurant. We read all the good reviews and wanted to try this place - the first waitress who directed us upstairs was not the most welcoming but when we sat down to order the waiter was lovely and we ordered a mixture of tapas and a steak and asked for it to be brought when it was ready. Well the food was great but the service went really downhill. Our wine was never refilled, two of our dishes were forgotten and then they charged us for one on the bill. I questioned it and they got really confrontational and said because I had ordered it then I have to pay for it. I asked for the manager and he shrugged and shouted “you pay what you want”. It was a complete change of character and strangely never commented on the other dish that was forgotten. I wouldn’t go to this restaurant again and really don’t recommend it purely due...

Visit Bodegon Gallery - you'll be so glad you did! Family run business serving Excellent Food made made lovingly from Fine Ingredients. The restaurant is quaint - but the food really is the star here! There's a good wine list too. Also I was pleased to have Fever tree tonic with my gin - as so much of the Marbella scene is still serving Schweppes. Dinner on the terrace with a view made it special. High food standards without formality or pretentious makes for one of the best nights on offer in the area. The service was just right - its helpful and enjoyable to share the experience with them. One of the very best places to eat in Benahavis. Jorge and his family are passionate about food and wine and it shows in the extensive menu and in the thoughtful preparation and presentation of the dishes. The food and wine tasting menu is a good bet if you're not sure what to choose from the main menu. All the dishes are regionally inspired and cooked to perfection in creative ways.
