We visited butterfly world and decided to also take a nice walk to the castle about half an hour away. When arriving at the castle it was closed for siesta which we were totally gutted about. We saw the mister that run the castle and he told us there were a little town up the hill. We found this pub/restaurant and was very happy we did! Owner was lovely. English speaking. Menu in English. Good prices! Everyone in the restaurant were lovely. There were alot of locals in there which was lovely and they were all super friendly. We never felt rushed and was there 2 hours! We weren't very hungry so decided our girls could share the jumbo fish and chips and we'd order extra chips for them, upon ordering the lady owner advised us not to order extra chips as we'd not need them which is amazing has not many people would loose money on orders! She gave us extra plates for the girls and never once judged us on the decision to share meals! We went in April and it was a unusually 32 degrees. I'm happy to say we felt cool under shaded area outside! Well done to the owners of this little gem found...

Great little place for a fantastic meal. We stopped here to watch the football and stayed to have lunch. The staff were really friendly and attentive. The portions were massive and we managed to find something for my gluten free mum. They had a great selection of beers and wines too, with gluten free and non alcoholic ones. For the size of the portions the price was brilliant. Everything was freshly made. Hope to see you again soon for another visit.

Went there to see Football, after many good reviews 🍺. The service was excellent as described and I met some absolutely wonderful people from Manchester, and we talked about football , work og the difference between our too countries. Nothing is better than a good chat about daily life and a glass of beer. Will be back soon Peder from Aarhus, Denmark

The cheap full English was better than expected and the cup of tea was a proper mug. Ended up spending longer there than planned just because it was a nice relaxed place with good surroundings. Rest of the menu looked good so will be back soon!

Stopped off for a drink and ordered some light lunch. Best blt i've had, felt like home and the chips were unreal. Would definitely recommend for anyone missing food from home 👌
