I am writing here to explain the experience and not complain. Food was good however I felt the owner was a racist. He being from Mumbai, Indian origin and visited India a week before he was disprectful. Owner please read so that you can improve in the future 1)We ordered food 2) asked to poppadam (papad) in between (ofcourse menu were taken as we eating food. You came and told that will cost one euro. I felt that was not right to tell any custome who is ordering. 3) as i was driving and my friend were hungry we didn't order any drink but asked for tap water. However later in friendly conversation you said if i keeping serving water how will i make money. We are customers and not your business partners. That was again insulting or atleast not right. 4) we asked for a spoon and you said to use the one which came with balti chicken. I never have seen such a response. 5) finally towards end you mentioned i can see plates are empty and you guys were hungry. I dont think u need to tell this to customers. Instead you can put that it seems you liked food or it was tasty. 6) you talked I'll about Indians their lifestyle and how you like spain lot better. I understand this but you need to understand that you need to be careful when dealing with customers. Not hurting feelings. In this case you were talking to customers from India and complaining rather insulting Indian lifestyle. 7) you mentioned that we had decency to ask tap water, however some customers don't even and drink bottle water. If they fall ill they may blame your restaurant. In this case please put board or notice to make things clear to customers that outside water isnt allowed
I am keen to know your response and I am not angry or upset now, however just want to improve experience for other customers especially from india.
I hope you take my honest feedback...
Read moreStarted off ok. Made a reservation online for the buffet arrived and at first the owner said need to state this on the booking! It does not say you need to on the website. I would not call it a buffet only a choice of Rogan Josh or chicken tikka. Out came our drinks and the glasses were so dirty (should probably have thought something was up) than our starters came out no meat (maybe it was a blessing in disguise).
Than the mains everything going grand till we got the chicken tikka and one piece of chicken was not cooked my wife ate half it before realising it was half raw. The server's English is not good so it was difficult to explain it to him, finally the owner came out no apology just ok we will change it and snapped away the raw piece. Not once did he say to my wife was she ok after eating some raw chicken. They finally after complaining changed our plates and cutlery also. They also had the neck to ask for the bill to be paid also (which we did as the police said it would look better incase my wife gets sick) If my wife gets food poisoning from this I will be bringing the owner back the bill for the hospital. I have photos of the raw chicken if anyone thinks I am lying we also left a complaint in the complaints book. The owner/manager was very rude till we said we were calling the police will never eat here again....
The owner was going to other diner's saying we were putting in a complaint what business is it of other diner's if we were. Eventually we called the local police as we wanted to put in a complaint and the owner would not give the complaints book to allow...
Read moreHad seen the ratings and then gone there along with friends for dinner. The waiter/owner was impolite and disrespectful. He asked us to order fast and given us a time limit to finish our dinner even though the table was not reserved. He was also dictating us in terms of what we can and cannot order.
Obviously We left the restaurant and then went to Bombay grill restaurant (approx. 500 m from here) and had a food thats worth every penny. Waiters were also very friendly and respectful. I don’t know how the food in Indian city tastes but this 1 star is for the disrespect the owner treated us with.
(Dear owner, I have to write my reply here as google does not allow me to write a reply after your answer. You are responding to Govind Singh, as the name clearly suggests. As a customer, I have only 2 requirements from any xyz restaurant, welcoming staff and tasty food. If 1st one was not met then obviously I would feel disrespectful. And this was also my 1st experience, where the staff is telling me what I should or should not order. May be the diners were full/tired/mildly sick/naturally eat less etc. etc. and that’s why want to order as per their will. Also, both my above requirements were met delightfully by a restaurant just 500m from yours, so that’s why I have given you bad rating. You can continue to justify yourself, but if I have had a much better experience elsewhere, I would naturally give it a better...
