We visited the restaurant today based on its good reviews but, unfortunately, had a disappointing experience. I ordered a Cordon Bleu, but it arrived completely raw, not just undercooked. When we brought this to the waiter’s attention, his response was quite unprofessional—rather than apologizing, he simply took the plate, said “I know,” and walked away without further explanation. We were left confused, as we had no idea what was going on or whether a replacement meal would be provided. At no point did that waiter apologize, though another waiter who had not served us did eventually offer an apology. In the end, we paid over €40 for croquettes, a curry, and two glasses of wine. The restaurant did remove the Cordon Bleu from the bill, which we appreciated. However, based on our experience, we do not recommend this restaurant.
Response to the restaurants response:
The waiter in the white shirt, who was serving us, did give us the bill and apologized at the end (as I mentioned above). He was very polite and the only person to do so.
The person in the black T-shirt, whom we called over and who initially took the plate back to the kitchen, was the one who...
Read moreI don't normally write reviews, but I feel compelled to about Restaurante Lucena ll. The food is wildly over priced for what you get. The fried fish at 22 euro was a huge disappointment. Sloppy batter and really not nice at all. The pork chops were delivered to the plate raw (not slightly undercooked but completely jelly raw on the inside). A meal for 5 (3 children) was over 120 euro which is fine if the service, food and atmosphere warrant the price but they simply do not get close to it. The staff are friendly enough. All in all we visited 3 times and each time it got worse (the first couple of times was OK which is why we returned) but the last time was so very poor that I felt the need to leave a review. You would have thought after our first two visits (in 4 days) and over 200 euros spent we would get better service but the 3rd visit was the worse. Very disappointing and we will never be back. I really hope they understand and work on their service/food quality for...
Read moreWe ate here as a family of four after visiting the beach and paid just over 52€. The food was really good and the staff very friendly and welcoming and humoured our attempts to speak Spanish. A very reasonable price for 2 rounds of drinks, paella for 2, plain pasta (my son loves simple cooked pasta with nothing on and the waiter understood exactly the requirements) and child's hamburger meal. The hamburger meal was very large for a child (9yr old) but that is not the end of the world so still 5*. Like many places along the Costa, parking is here and there and we were parked less than 1 minute walk from the restaurant. A side road passes the restaurant but the traffic does not really affect...
