Pizzería La Tea — Restaurant in Benasque/Benás

The Pizzeria had four customers when we arrived so it was very quiet. I speak fluent Spanish and said hello to the waiter in reception. He immediately asked if we knew that we could only pay cash, which I said that we did. I then asked him how he was, he ignored me and showed us to a table and left. He came back and asked us what drinks we wanted and these arrived in good time. We waited for 20 minutes and finished our drinks but the waiter never returned to give us menus or take any orders. I had to ask him for menus, which he gave us, and then after we had waited for fifteen minutes I had to ask him if we could order. He took our order and then we waited twenty five minutes before our food arrived. This meant we had been in a very quiet Pizzeria but had to wait an hour for.our meal. The food was great, the cooks clearly know their stuff and we were happy with the quality. When we went to pay, we noticed that we had been over charged on the bill. The water tried to explain it away until I pointed out the he had added an additional drink to our bill which had never been ordered. He said that I was right, didn't apologise and reduced the bill to what it should have been.

To summarise, if you want good food then this is a good place which was let down by terrible customer service. The waiter's number on the bill is 06, avoid him like the plague and you might have a vetter experience than we did. We won't...

Don’t try to phone this restaurant. The numbers provided here, in their FaceBook page and Trip Advisor don’t work. We asked the server and he brushed off the question.

On my rating scale, 3 stars means it was a reasonable good meal but I would try other restaurants before returning.

Service was mixed. We had four people attend us. Largely take the order, bring the food and beverages and that’s it. Nothing special.

My pizza (La Tea) was good, but I have had so much better wood fired pizzas. That said, it was a wood fired pizza which gets points with me. Our starter of croquettes was ok.

All in all an ok meal but nothing spectacular.

Pizzas were very mediocre, cheap ingredients, poor dough and for the familiar size the servings are rather small. Prices are high. Service at this place is terrible - order pizza to take out as they were full for eat in they told us 20 min, we waited for over 1h and had to directly speak with the cooks to have them make our food.
