Hotel Aragüells Benasque — Hotel in Benasque/Benás

I was in Benasque for the traditional chess tournament (for my first time, July 2018). The hotel is at walking distance from the playing hall (Sport Pavilion), which was an important requirement for me. I was supposed to leave with a friend but in the end I was alone. The owner did all she could to move me to single rooms helping me to save some money, which I really appreciated. The personal was extremely helpful and cheerful (watching my luggages and providing also useful tips and suggestions for trekking - there are several nice routes in and around Benasque). The rooms were great and I had no troubles sleeping. Breakfast was good, and the area devoted to breakfast was very spacious. I also celebrated the good results of the tournament trying some of the local craft beers, which were excellent. Surely, this stay substantially contributed to this wonderful experience, and I would definitely come...

Just got back from my second stay at the Hotel Araguells. I had previously stayed here just before Christmas 2014 and never got around to writing a review. The hotel is a nice, family run business and you feel very welcome. All the staff in the hotel and cafeteria are extremely helpful. I was there with children, and we were made to feel very at home. This time we had a 4 person room up in the "buhardilla" (attic). Beds were comfy and plenty of clean linen, towels, etc. There is a store room for skis, boots, etc downstairs in reception. Regarding the village, then for eating, shopping, etc Benasque is very good. It really is a "village" and not an "urbanización" (like Formigal). I wasn't lodged in this hotel but I went for lunch to the restaurant and the menu and food were very good quality and value..also the waitress was very friendly...||Suddenly i realized that I forgot my bag in the restaurant with my keys and belongings...when I realized we were about 300 km away..I rang the hotel and the staff were WONDERFUL... they arranged a courier and I had my bag back with me and all my belongings within less than 48 hours..they were at all times super friendly and very efficient ..and the cost of the courier was excellent......
