La Pinta — Restaurant in Benidorm

Would not recommend this place to my enemy . firstly they got the order wrong , so my wife had to start eating alone while my order was being sorted otherwise her food would have gone cold as it took 10 mins to rectify the order. we ordered 2 fillet steak with our meal but what we were attempting to eat was not fillet steak it was chewy and had gristle on it When I complained to the staff they said sorry but did nothing else .as they tried to make out they didn't understand English, They had no trouble understanding when I asked them are they still serving food . To add insult to injury they still insisted I pay for fillet I strongly objected but got nowhere so I paid up, Telling them that they was no tip for trying to pass a cut meat off for fillet steak when it clearly wasn't it was more like horse and an old one at that. Christian greeted us and was very accommodating to our group and made sure we had a high chair for the baby. Alejandro, our waitress was very attentive to our group and made a fuss over the baby making him feel comfortable and happy throughout our time at the restaurant. The service was amazing and the food was great especially for the price. Christian even bought me a second hot plate for my T-Bone steak without asking. We enquired about a taxi and we were told that we would have to walk to the taxi rank, at the end of the meal they told us they would get us taxi to pick us out outside! 2 minutes later the taxi arrived, couldn’t ask for better hospitality. Terrible experience. The most miserable unfriendly staff I’ve ever encountered. Ordered food and drinks, when the food supposed to be pork chops, chips and salad arrived it consisted of 8 chips, no salad and I can only describe as 3 tiny pieces of grissle, that my dog would not have eaten. I called waitress over and asked her politely what it was and that I couldn’t eat it. She took my plate away. No apologies nothing. My daughter just left hers. We asked for bill and I was suprised they charged us 48 euros. I did say we have not been able to eat it and you took one plate away.
