The One — Restaurant in Benidorm

I rarely leave negative reviews, but after visiting this establishment I feel people deserve a warning.

On arrival, the restaurant was practically empty, yet we were left waiting for an hour before being served. We weren’t told about any delay, and to make matters worse, other customers (who arrived after us) were served far quicker and with no issues.

When our food finally arrived, it was appalling. The “sausages” turned out to be more like corn dogs, the hash browns were barely defrosted, and the rest of the food was cold — colder than the atmosphere in the place. For a breakfast, it was completely unacceptable.

As for service, the staff were dismissive and rude, showing no effort to apologise or make things right. The whole experience left us feeling unwelcome and frustrated.

In short: cold food, slow service, rude staff, and misleading menu items. With so many better places around, I strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant...

We ordered a jug of sangria advertised for 12 euros. Nice location but the service was slow. You could see people were irritated by it and a woman in a wheelchair was ignored so she went next door. The sangria actually was nice but when we went to pay we were charged 13 euros. The menu did say 13 but the posted sign had it on offer for 12. Only a euro but not as advertised. Ordered food and waited 45 mins (no-one else in place, (2 chicken burgers and garlic toast and chips) first burger came out an it was beef, so sent back 2nd one came out then waited another 15mins on replacement. Garlic toast was a baguette that I couldn't break, and we weren't given any cultery. Noone came to check, or to see if we wanted drinks we had to get up again to order more drinks.
