Bodegon Don Carmelo — Restaurant in Betancuria

TLDR: I advice against going there. Even if you have little time, the place is a tourist trap and don't care if you like the food or not, they get your money and then never see you. I have had a tortilla slide (4.5€) olives (4€) and paella (10.5€), with a small beer. The beer was the best of all, food is 1 star of 5, dry tortilla, plain and dry reheated paella, quite hasty service, but it is ok if is a busy day with tables filling quickly like today. What wasn't ok at all was the paella: fatty, saltly with some old shrimp and mussel (they looked reheated), also the meat pieces weren't really recognizeable, low quality and no taste. I told this to the waiter, he did not bat an eyelid, asked me for 22€ (the full bill) and did not apologize at all. I spent as little time as possible there and went on with my day, even so I believe such behaviour is beyond disrespectful, but likely others might want to save...

Tuve el placer de comer en el Restaurante Casa Carmelo y fue una experiencia excepcional. Desde el momento en que entré, me sentí bienvenido por el personal amable y atento. El ambiente del restaurante es acogedor y elegante, perfecto para una noche especial.

La comida fue simplemente deliciosa. Cada plato estaba preparado con ingredientes frescos y presentados de manera impecable. Recomiendo especialmente el plato de garbanzos, que fue una verdadera delicia.

El servicio fue impecable. Los camareros fueron muy profesionales y estuvieron siempre atentos a nuestras necesidades sin ser intrusivos. Además, el tiempo de espera entre los platos fue justo, permitiéndonos disfrutar de cada momento.

En resumen, Casa Carmelo es un lugar que recomiendo sin reservas. Es ideal para una cena romántica, una celebración especial o simplemente para disfrutar de una excelente comida en un ambiente encantador....
