Restaurante El Pulpo — Restaurant in Breña Baja

Easily the best outdoor eatery by the sea in the entire island. I have known el Pulpo for as long as I have lived (they recently celebrated their 50th anniversary) and only today I realized how perfect it is.

We sat only after 15 waiting and they served us the freshest camaron I have ever tasted. Followed for a formidable serving of lapas con mojo and a surprising tempura edge shrimp on a stick served with curry mayo on a bed of red cabbage. Simply sublime. So much we ordered the octopus croquettes and they were just delicious.

I'm still waiting for the bill and coffee but I couldn't wait to celebrate it with you....

Visited Restaurant El Pulpo for lunch. The location is very nice! I didn't hat to wait long for ordering and the drinks and food came quickly. I really recommend the fish soup! It's so good! It came with a bread roll and I thought it was included but it's not you have to pai for it later. The Brad roll was not fresh, it was hard and dry... If it's not fresh, pleas just reheat it a bit in the oven?

The food in general was not bad and needed only a bit of spices. The service, on the other hand, was really bad the waiter did not speak English and when we asked for the bill we had to wait 30 minutes before getting the bill as he was ignoring us. It would be nice if people who worked there were a bit more open to people speaking other languages than Spanisch. As the people who speak the same language were served...
