Es Racó — Restaurant in Cadaqués

Es Raco is a high quality small restaurant down a quiet street in the old town of Cadaqués. There are two outside areas one a small balcony overlooking the ocean and the other in the quiet lane, as well as a handful of tables inside.

The menu is considered with fabulous local vegetables (asparagus, artichoke, snow peas) starring in the salad. As a couple we choose to share all dishes, salad, duck, clams and octopus which worked perfectly. We even splurged on desert. Every dish exceeded our expectations, and the service was warm and genuine.

The food and service was perfect, the only downside and lack of one star is the higher prices for the smaller portions that were listed in the menu in a misleading way. The food is well worth the price but I would have ordered differently had I had known! I ordered the scallops as listed under "To share or not share" I was expecting at least 3 large or 4-5 smaller scallops but only received 2 medium/small sized scallops on a bed of blended veggies. Came here for dinner in one of our nights in Cadeques and did not have any reservation but we were lucky enough to get a table. The restaurant is very cosy and has a beautiful view of the ocean.
