El Cielo Calella - Los Extremeños — Restaurant in Calella

My wife and I are there last night 16th Sept 2025.

Our server was Manuel, absolute Gent! 💙 Gave some good wine recommendations and was happy to actually stand and answer some questions despite being ran off his feet

We got the 1.2Kg tomahawk steak with veg, and a starter. Obviously our eyes were bigger than our bellies 😂 as we had to get leftovers for takeaway.

The food was amazing 😍 The price was incredible 🤟 we would have paid a lot more for this in Ireland for 2 people.

As mentioned earlier with the 5⭐ service, it really was and I hope I've spelled his name correctly, thank you again for having us.

This is the only restaurant I've reviewed in the area as I will only review if I deem a place worthy (good or bad) and you can judge from other reviews that this place is exceptional! I will be telling anyone I know who visits to come here.

I'll start of with saying that food is good but flawed... we've ordered 2 burgers and as you can see buns are burned, buns are not meat that's meant to be charred, they're literally burned crisp. The waiters didn't come to check on us or ask if everything is okay. Wagyu burgers came out medium rare, which is fine but it is common to ask how cooked you want your beef. I know someone will now say buns are meant to be a little burned... NO! Buns are meant to be toasted, a piece of burned dough fell into my girlfriends throught and it made her cough. There is a lot to improve here, but let's start with hospitality which is not on the level it presents.

Burgers are a bit overpriced, but it's angus/wagyu so let's ignore it for now. 2 burgers, small beer and 2 soft drinks...

We had a bad experience at El Cielo Extremo. Maybe it’s just an isolated case.

It started with a rush to decide what to eat, from our server, due to the fact that the cook had to leave in 30 minutes. After ordering, we waited 40 minutes for our food. First, the server brought us the wrong plates, mistaking us with a table nearby. After that, they took our order to another table. When they realized their mistake, the other customers already started to eat, and they couldn’t take back the order. They started a huge fight in the restaurant, together with the servers and the cook, and only after 20 minutes they started to prepare our food.

On the other hand, the food was really good, that’s why the review has three stars...
