Restaurante Tavino — Restaurant in Calp

When our group of nine sat down, we weren’t given any drinks menus for about 10 minutes. Eventually, the only menu we received was the wine list, so we had to guess what drinks were available based on what we could see at the bar.

We also had to request the food menus ourselves, as no one seemed particularly interested in taking our order. Even then, we only received four menus for the entire group, so some of us had to look up the menu online.

After waiting an hour for our food, we were disappointed by the portion size—especially the paella. My partner and I shared the lobster paella, which was slightly burnt on the bottom and had very little seafood. The lobster itself was very small. Altogether, we spent 47 euros on a dish that didn’t meet our expectations.

Unfortunately, the food did not feel worth the price, and most of us left the restaurant still feeling hungry.

I gave 2 stars for the service, mainly because one waiter—Andreas—was very helpful and attentive. He was the only staff member who made an effort...

We went to this location cause it was ranked 15 out of 282 in TripAdvisor the location itself is ok and looking clean. Service was also polite. BUT the food was inedible. Especially the price performance ratio was outrageous. Paella tasted awful and not much food for 17 euros per person ( very thin rice layer) also 4 small meatballs with tomato soup from the can for 9 euros. Then vegetables in tempura unkind served and all fried for like 13 euros. Last but not least the Bellota ham and Manchego cheese what a cheek not tasty and you have to pay 24 euros for a handful of cheese and ham. We recently had the pleasure of dining at the newly relocated Tavino, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The highlight, undoubtedly, was the food, as each dish was bursting with yummy flavours. The service was great, with an attentive and friendly staff willing to accommodate our fussy toddler's request too! The new location breathed new life into the restaurant. Evidently, the owners had put a lot of thought into the design, creating a comfortable and stylish space that perfectly complemented the fantastic food and service.
