STEAKHOUSE TEXAS. — Restaurant in Calp

I had a fab experience in this lovely steakhouse. I can honestly say that the Sunday roast is better there than it is in most places back in England. You get a huge amount of roasted potatoes, a massive Yorkshire pudding, enough veggies and a lovely gravy! Enough to eat, really. You best reserve when you go there, especially on Sunday. The staff was very helpful and the girl who served us did her utterly best to speak English as our Spanish is not bueno. The place has a nice vibe inside, is clean, toilets are spotless and it was super busy. I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends and family. And Steve B, I honestly don't know what has gotten into you to write such an appalling review as this is 1 of the best places I know in Calpe. I can't wait to be back and next time I will try the spareribs, the table next to us got them and they are huge too. Thanks for the great experience...

Maybe it was a bad night but my steak was awful. Tasted like something out of a plastic packet which had just been defrosted an hour earlier. It wasn't an especially busy night either. To the credit of the staff they refunded me after my second bite as I left the whole plate and couldn't eat it. That is why I give 2 stars. These things happen and I may have just been unlucky but many other places manage to source good beef at these prices. Being a steakhouse you would expect better - Spain has some of the best beef...
