The Coffee Box — Restaurant in Calp

My wife went to this place with our little son of only 2.5 years old to try their coffee but did not succeed. As soon as they took the places and the boy took the small decorating box with coffee beans to look what it was (no breaking it nothing more than holding and watching) as the waitress rushed to wrest it from the hands of the kid. Saying nothing she went away. They did the same. Place definitely to avoid with this attention. At least with the kids

After the reply from the owner I can add that I am totally shocked with this attention. First of all things hapenned absolutely the other way he described and mother is 100% keeping an eye on what is going on with the kid all the time. It looked not like the care but like the attempt not to let the child play with the toy he found interesting. In any case it should be accompanied with any words at least excuse me or if you are supervising what is going on with children and think there is something bad going on then it is responsible to give some comment on it to avoid it in the future. And sure mere politeness has to take place like sorry mam, but I saw that... doing the things rudely, then reading morals in the absence of the very fact is totally called ignorance and spitting on clients. It must be me.Compared to other reviews our service was not very good.asked for coffee and tea with milk,but no-one came back with milk so had to go in and ask as 10 mins had gone by .Asked for the menu,no one came in 15mins, again had to go back in.Bearing in mind it was not busy.She came out and took our order which food was reasonable,then had to ask 3 times for the bill before going in to pay again after 20mins finishing food. My Spanish is excellent so no way miss communication. Each time all the staff at the back of the shop talking . I don't mind waiting but totally ridiculous.spent over an hour and 20mins. Have used the takeaway coffee shop lots of times and same as here great coffee ☕

This is a lovely little coffee shop set just a few metres back from the sea front. It is located across the road from the shopping centre based in the Unusual Hotel. There is seating outside for ten people, however this is more of an order and take away. The coffee ☕ is delicious and there is a great choice. The atmosphere is one of peace apart from the passing traffic. We had a couple of cold beers 🍻 on this occasion.
