Chiringuito Cala Vinyes — Restaurant in Calvià

Myself and my partner came here as we had seen recommendations for it online. Happy hour is meant to be from 5pm. We ordered our drinks which were quite nice but then when the bill came over we were charged full price. I asked the waitress what the happy hour time was as we expected to have 2 for 1. She said it is from 5pm. I asked why we were not given the discount since we ordered within that time. She told us we arrived too early. At the time I thought well we have no way to prove that we were actually there past 5pm so we had to stomach the bill and leave. Only afterwards I remembered I had taken a picture of the bar whilst waiting to be served when we first got there; this was 5:07pm. So long story short we were there and ordered within happy hour but were not given the discount. Very disappointed as we only came at that time and made plans around it so we could enjoy happy hour. Perfect beach bar, it has everything you need and it has great holiday vibes. The food is delicious - we really enjoyed the quesadillas and the cheeseburgers with their potatoes. The drinks are very well done! The basil Mohito was delicious, but we also had a few Piña Coladas, as well as a Whiskey Sour there during our holidays.

The staff are really friendly - everybody is very approachable, chilled out, but professional. We received some great advice for our holidays - beach and restaurant recommendations - from our friend from Romania who took great care of us anytime we were there.

Absoloutly gorgeous little gem of a place. Tucked away on a sandy beach this bar/dining tavern was a delight to experience. We were welcomed by the sound of 80s music ,which was not over powering and a well lit seating area that surrounds a bar in which you literally just step on to from the sand that serves amazing delicious cocktails (I do mean excellent) as well as any drink of choice on the menu. Serving hot and cold food till midnight. Lucy the owner is the cherry on top the cake as she provides the friendliest smile along with Guana who gave 100% top notch hospitality ..a must place to visit .. I will be going back there...
