It's the only restaurant in the area so we actually expected a really nice dinner. The staff is a bit unfriendly. They have a massive TV at the bar which doesn't blend into the restaurant at all. The dining area looks like it came straight from the 80s. Overall it's not completely clean, dust and little tree pieces on the floor, some other stuff on our table. We both had escalope (Schnitzel) which was surprisingly really tasty. Me fiancee had hers with chips and a very small salad which was 10€. That's a very good price! I ordered mine with pasta and the only pasta they had was spaghetti. I also asked for a mushroom sauce. Unfortunately they served me spaghetti Bolognese. The Bolognese wasn't really nice and tasted like a jar sauce. The mushroom sauce was just greasy, blend with mushrooms out of a tin. I paid 12.50€ for that which is still really good. Large Coca cola is 3,5€. We spent 28€ for two main courses and two drinks plus the oily sauce. The menu is in Spanish, French, English, German and Swedish which is quite thoughtful. If you're tired of your hotel food and want something different then you can give it a try. They also have various Pasta, fish, Pizza, beef & pork and lamb dishes too. Personally I would come...
Read moreWe came here a three times during our holidays in Cala Vinyes and we loved everything about this place. It feels like your invited to a local home with great oldschool restaurant service.
The staff was great - the head waiter was very professional and always looked after us, with a Mallorcan apertif on the house! We were so pleased to discover a place with such a service - it feels like a rarity these days.
The food deserves 5 stars - we really recommend the mussels in sauce (which we lapped up with spoons after), the traditional Mallorcan fish (see the photo), with its amazing aroma, was a delicous discovery! Come hungry because the portions are generous. Topped off with the best sangria we had on our trip, our meals were so memorable.
We tried the pizza also, which was great. Although, we encourage anyone to try the traditional Mallorcan meals there. The owner has 35 years of experience and he is in love with traditional cuisine. We had a lovely chat with him after dinner, getting to know his impressive journey to becoming a restauranteur.
We're looking forward to coming back again one day and we wish 7 Mares every success until we dine...
Read moreWent for dinner on 13/08 with my partner on our last night of our holiday. Greeted my 2 very unpleasant members of the service team. Places out the way on a corner table and writhing 10 mins showed the menus. There were apparently specials however we were not shown the board and on questioning the server his reply was “I forgot” Food was ok but very dry, service was the worst I have received at any restaurant worldwide. Nothing to compliment just very very poor and I don’t give a damm attitude. A family group sat next to us and a few members of the group made monkey sounds whilst others laughed. My partner is a Black Queen. Disgusting arrogant people and service staff just watched them as they did this. Offered complimentary bread and olives at start of meal and then got charged for them. This place is shocking, terrible service, average food and a must avoid if your are on vacation in the area. Never again would I go there and when I told them it was very bad they just shrugged...
