On occasions, I enjoy a healthy enjoyable breakfast of Pan Moreno (Mallorquin brown bread) an open sandwich served with tomato and avocado and a coffee, v reasonably priced too, Superb modern surroundings, both indoors and outdoors, comfortable seating and a calm relaxed ambience. Courtesy Newspapers are available to read and near the front entrance of the main building. WiFi is free as are various access points for laptops, mobiles and iPads, etc. All fresh food is layed out beautifully on a large wooden table to take to your table, as is cutlery, crockery, serviettes, all food is priced. And a counter is along side it, serving bread, cakes, and other food, freshly made, and available daily to have in this largely spaced out restaurant or even as a take out, and served professionally by a pleasant hard working staff. Nice too for just a coffee or tea, refreshments also. Very helpful and kind staff. Clean and well looked after toilets. Parking is available outside in the free large municipal car parking area, v centrally located to visit Palma Nova, which is only two minutes away walking. A worthwhile cafe to visit and to support the organisation who runs it exceptionally well, To be admired, by their example of exceptional customer service, in my opinion. Additionally: This car park is a very useful and central location in Palma Nova, to park up and go visit the three beaches, other eateries, shopping, or to take part in adventure sports around the area, and a wonderful seafront promenade for walks, jogging, bicycling, skate boarding, etc. Written by Lynda,...
Read moreLove the concept, love the setting in Palmanova ( especially the courtyard) but…. Service is frustrating ( everyone runs around, nobody pays attention to you). Came for breakfast and it was terrible. Apparently some items you need to order from the menu, the other are self-service from several locations in the main room. “Self-service” items are displayed in a buffet-style but the price in the menu is per item. Impossible to figure out the system. The menu is in Spanish only and has no indication of which items are “self service”. Also, it seems that the buffet was not replenished. We came in just after 11 am and “the buffet” was almost empty. What was left on it hardly correlated to the items on the menu. Go figure. We managed to order only coffee and one omelette that was tasteless. On our previous visits ( twice for lunch), the ordering experience was better ( you order from the menu), service was ok , in one case the food was terrible ( burnt over salty paella), in our first lunch visit the food was great (chicken breast, farmers fries) - apparently that day the teaching chef was in the kitchen. This place is...
Read moreI would truly love to be able to give 5 stars as the food was great. But the service wasn't. We were sat next to the counter and dishwashing section and the server did not care about how noisy the plates can be. We had to wait for our food for a while (but they're always busy so I could understand that). All our meals came at different times which is unusual to me. I'd prefer having them served at once so we could all enjoy the delicious food together instead of two of my colleagues worrying that they were forgotten.
It is a small restaurant with tiny spaces but you can feel the local vibe. Queues for tables are just normal for that place. Never before had to wait 30min in a cue for a table but...
