Sakana Calvia — Restaurant in Calvià

We were very excited to go as we passed by many times and the place looks outstanding. However, our experience has not been what expected.

We were suggested by the waiter, who was very friendly and welcoming, that they had 2 special dishes out of the menu that we should try. After going through the menu we decided to order two starters salmon ceviche and duck gyozas (the ones they suggested us and was not in the menu) and deer meat. Few minutes later, they came to tell us they do not have any more duck gyozas, and they weren’t alerted by the kitchen.

We fully understood that, but we’re hesitating on what other things to order. So we decided to keep up with our order and then ask for more things.

Our food was quickly prepared. Nevertheless, it wasn’t even close to what we expected comparing to the high prices. Our meat got cold as they brought it at the same time as the starter.

After eating what we ended up ordering, we didn’t want to risk on ordering more.

On the other hand I have to highlight the attention and customer service they provide, the owner and one of the waiters were very helpful.

That was the worst restaurant visit of my life! Sakana Palmanova's boss is unable to run the restaurant. I went there for dinner with my mom and we ordered three things. First we were given a warm bottle of wine by the boss and he said it would be colder soon. Then after an hour the boss came to us and had to know again what we had ordered. After that, only 2 dishes came and then we were suddenly given a bill with the 3 dishes we ordered, one of which we never received. When I then wanted to talk to the boss, he told us we shouldn't talk so loud and went „pssstt...“ he told us it was the fault from his young waiters but it was all his fault and couldn’t handle the Situation. We said that we would want the right bill. Then came a completely wrong bill and then just the first wrong bill again when we got mad he came with the last dish where we said we don't want it anymore and he took our plates away and said we didn't need to pay. I had a very disappointing experience and this is my last time at this restaurant. I always used to buy take-away but this time I went with my daughter, we booked a table, we got there, we were shown to our table but then had to wait over 20min for someone to turn up and give us the menu or even look at us. The place wasn't even full but the waiters were all milling around carrying plates in a clearly disorganised way. During the wait we witnessed several tables complaining about what they had to wait for and on at least 4 occasions, new people waited at the reception to be attended to and to be able to dine, but they left in frustration that no one was attending to them, not even looking at them, a disgrace! When we got our drinks, they only arrived for one of us and we had to wait until the second course for the other drink to come, also a salmon maki that we ordered, the rice was hot as if it had been freshly made or heated? of course, we didnt complain, what's the point... in short, a...
