Thai Pan — Restaurant in Calvià

This is a lovely place if you're looking for a place with a good view. I enjoyed the little details that have been added to the place to give it an authentic look and the fact that you can see the chef cooking your food as his station is centred in the restaurant. However, I did see the chef scroll on his phone whilst wearing the black gloves he uses for cooking... not a great look!!

In terms of the food, the vegetarian summer rolls were lovely. The beef chow mein was good and a decent portion for a fair price.

The hoisin vegetable soup was served boiling - it was clearly just taken out of the microwave. Taste wise, the flavour of stock overpowered the soup completely.

We also ordered the glass noodles, which tasted good, but I was disappointed that the tofu in the dish was very cold. It's not a hot dish, but I expected the tofu to be freshly made, which it wasn't.

We came in tonight hoping for a solid dinner option after seeing the 4.6 stars on Google and chose to sit with the beach view which was really pretty. We ordered the crispy duck and the beef drunken noodles, but we found that some of the beef in the noodles were raw (see attached pictures). We were incredibly disappointed and when we told the server, she offered us a replacement on the house - we declined it since we had lost our appetite and just wanted to leave. At the end when we got the bill, they tried to offer 10% off in response to the raw beef. I was actually shocked that the entire meal was not compensated because of this terrible experience. A complete mishandle of the situation from the restaurant. So incredibly upset that I had to push to not pay for that dish and we still had to pay for the other dish. Food poisoning is something no one wants to worry about while...

Served us raw chicken (see photo). As we were eating out starters we realised that the chicken was completely raw. Informed the staff and we asked them to cancel our mains. They then came over with the bill with just the chicken Satay and 10% taken off, expecting us to PAY 40 euros for our starters and drinks, baring in mind we are now waiting to see if we get severely ill from this. We said we were not happy to pay so then the staff (who were lovey and could not fault) rang the boss. We waited 10 minutes and informed us we just had to pay for the drinks, which is still insane after literally serving us RAW CHICKEN. Shame on the boss, will be very expensive for us staying extra nights on our holiday and booking another flight home if we get food poisoning. Disgraceful behaviour from the owner and felt so sorry for the two...
