TERRIBLE SERVICE
The Blue Bar occupies a lovely spot right on the beach and the food is decent. However, the service is astonishingly bad so we shall not be returning.
A group of 7 of us visited at 12:30pm and we were told their kitchen doesn’t open for lunch until 1pm. Not a problem, we asked to be seated and order drinks to wait until we can make our food orders.
The place was pretty much empty so we were surprised when - after it turned 1pm - no one came to take our order. At around 1:20pm we had to flag a waiter down, and he seemed to be genuinely annoyed to be speaking to and serving us.
A while later they swapped our crockery out depending on the dishes we ordered. They did not bring out a plate for one of us. We mentioned this to the waiter who genuinely just waved us off (which is rude).
Shortly after, our food was served to us and - lo and behold - they had missed off the order for the guest with no plate. The waiter did apologise for this, but he also said that the person wasn’t loud enough when ordering (?)
Once all the food arrived it was actually decent. However, we waited a long time to try and get the bill and pay. We actually had plans elsewhere, so most of us left and one of us stayed behind and walked to the front of house area to re-request the bill. We had assumed the bill would be provided and paid for within 5, possibly 10 minutes. Sadly this wasn’t the case. My poor friend waited an additional 20 minutes to have the opportunity to pay. And this happened when the entire place was virtually empty! Even then, the staff were not apologetic or even friendly.
They treated us as inconveniences so we shall NOT...

I rarely write reviews, but this restaurant truly earned a warning to others. From the moment we sat down, it was clear they’ve mastered the art of upselling through manipulation.
First, we were offered sourdough bread phrased and presented in a way that made it seem complimentary. Not once were we told there’d be a charge. But surprise! It showed up on the bill as a paid item. A similar tactic was used with the chips and salad – the waiter casually asked if we wanted it with the main course, giving the distinct impression it was included. It wasn’t.
They refused to serve tap water, which is appalling and completely unacceptable, and instead pushed overpriced bottled water at a ridiculous markup. When the bill finally arrived, it was entirely in Spanish, making it difficult to decipher. Even worse, they’d added incorrect quantities for several items — all, of course, in their favor. We had to point this out and get it corrected ourselves. No apology, just defensiveness.
Dining out should not feel like dodging traps or translating a trickster’s ledger. This place is deceptive, overpriced, and frankly disrespectful to its customers. There are too many genuinely good restaurants around to waste your money and patience here.
One star...
Read moreMy husband and I went to Blue bar twice while we was in Mallorca and we had an amazing time. The only reason I’ve given 4 stars and not 5 is because the cocktails are not the best. The porn star martinis and espresso martinis are full of foam at the top so to pay £16 per cocktail it’s alot when it’s only two sips.
However.. the sangria was amazing ! We tried to red and the cava and we preferred the red one.
The staff were great, always someone around to help. I want to give a massive shout out to Araina the hostess who welcomes you, she is super friendly, professional, warm and welcoming such a credit to the blue bar restaurant.
The food was amazing! On the first night we had the T-bone steak which was great, we did have to send it back the first time as it was very rare but they took it with no problem and cooked it a little more for us. The steak was a lovely piece of meat and melted in your mouth. I would say they should have chips included in the steak price however for the size and for €75 for the steak only we were happy enough to pay for sides on the side.
The second day we came for sushi and sangria which was also very tasty.
The restaurant over looks the sea and it’s stunning for views.
Highly recommend just please work on...
