TERRIBLE Experience – UNSAFE for Celiacs and HEALTH HAZARD
I recently visited this place and had a shocking and DANGEROUS experience. I made it very clear to the waitress that I needed gluten-free food and specifically ordered nachos. To my surprise, while I was eating, I asked again if the nachos were gluten-free, and the waitress admitted they were not.
Everywhere else in the world, nachos are typically made with corn flour, which is naturally gluten-free. So, I asked to check the kitchen myself. The chef revealed they have two types of nachos: one gluten-free (he showed me the package) and another made in-house with gluten. I was served the wrong ones, despite clearly stating my dietary NEEDS. When I asked why I wasn’t given the gluten-free option, the staff had no answer.
To make matters WORSE, when I asked about the ingredients of the nachos I was served, the staff admitted they DIDN’t KNOW WHAT IS IN THEM. They had a jar in the kitchen with NO LABELS, ingredients list, or EXPIRY date. This is a serious VIOLATION of health and SAFETY LAWS, as customers have a right to know what they are consuming, especially those with allergies or dietary restrictions.
I spent an hour trying to get answers, and even when the owner was called, they were unable to provide any information. This kind of NEGLIGENCE is unacceptable and ILLEGAL. Serving food without knowing what’s in it puts customers at RISK, and in my case, it jeopardized my health.
I would strongly advise anyone with dietary restrictions or allergies to avoid this place. They clearly do not prioritize customer safety or adhere to BASIC FOOD HANDLING STANDARDS. This experience was not just disappointing—it was...
Read moreMy wife and 2 children (3 years old and 7 months) went this evening to this restaurant to a very unwelcome arrival. We sat ourselves down after being ignored by various staff then waited for roughly 10 minutes before I eventually asked for a large jug of sangria and water for my son, to which the bar man sighed and begrudgingly went to the bar. We also asked for a high chair for our 7 month old and was told there wasn't any at all, so as we stood to leave an older male with black hair found one for us.
At least 20 minutes past before our order was taken (by a polite, but clearly over stretched girl) however when we asked for a children's portion (wrap and grated cheese) we were told the kitchen was to busy to accommodate this for us and we would get this 'free' with our meal.
The food arrived quickly, and despite the horrendous front of house staff the food was delicious, but the final straw was when we asked for the grated cheese for our son, the older man with black hair sighed and rolled his eyes!
We quickly finished our dinner, it is clear family's are not welcome in this establishment which is a shame as the food was lovely.
Stay away if you want good service and a...
Read moreI used to like this place a lot but this last time I went i took my friends there recommending it to them and we got treated very badly by a man who I think is probably the owner, he has long dark hair and a very bad attitude, we were 4 girls and when he brought us our drinks he brought us the wrong ones and got angry with us and started swearing in his language, then at the end when we ordered the bill he came and one of us said I’m paying my drink and he banged his hand on the table and looked at us really bad like he was resisting punching us and it was a really uncomfortable moment as we still had to pay and we felt threatened, then he smashed a stone that was on top of the bill in to the plate with the bill and stormed off without saying goodbye or thank you. Not one smile at any time, looked like he was about to smash someone’s face in. It’s a shame because I’ve been there many times and have recommended it but I’m definitely not going back with...
