A Sublime Experience at Molly Malone’s – A Must-Visit in Vilafortuny

From the moment we arrived at Molly Malone’s, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and attentive staff who made us feel right at home. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, and our table was spotless and well-presented, complete with a full range of UK condiments — a thoughtful touch for Irish and British visitors.

After placing our drinks order, our server promptly returned to take our food order. My wife chose the half chicken with chips and salad, while I went for the classic fish and chips. We were both impressed by the speed of service and, more importantly, by the quality of the food.

Everything was served piping hot and beautifully presented. The flavours were fantastic — each dish cooked to perfection and genuinely satisfying. We both agreed it was one of the best meals we've had during our time in Spain.

Review from April 2024 Well what can I say about Molly Malones....

By far the number one spot we visited during our time.

The food was great, the drinks were reasonably priced (got to be said as we did on our first of multiple visits complete the cocktail menu and our bill was nowhere near as much as we or the bar staff expected).

Note to visitors: Try the cocktail menu in jugs!

Now onto the staff. Not one member of the staff at Molly Malones was anything short of amazing! And I believe we met them all. Nothing was too much for them, we were welcomed as though we had known them for years (even though we'd never been to the area before).

We invaded this lovely family run Irish bar on our very last day from midday as we awaited our transport. We finished our holiday feeling like we had found friends for life.

07/2025 Today we had again dinner here like every holiday. It was an horrible experience this time. Service was a mess: food did not get in the same time at our table. When I finished my 1/2 roast piri piri chicken (which was awfully dry, lack of seasoning and sauce missing and not served after 3 friendly reminders) the others were served one by one. As said chicken was dry and goat cheese salad was so basic just some salad and piece of goat cheese. Lasagna was good. Bill was not correct and had extra drinks on them. Serving staff was totally lost this night!
