Fast service, since there were only 2 tables occupied. No airco, but a large van was placed next to us for fresh air. The starters were ok, but not freshly made (papadum cold) and onion dry...
The main course was wayeeeeeeee to sweet! Everything was sweet like candy to the level that even the kids called it too sweet to our liking! Naan was "Ok" , rice too sweet and really.. a small portion.
The "chef speciaal" korma contained extra mushrooms compared to the normal korma: not worth the money.
Overall: the portions contained a bit more meat compared to other Indian restaurants, but no vegetables at all and did i mention...sweeeeeeeet.. like candy?!
To answer some questions: They don't serve a menu of the day. So, lunch for about 100€ and really.. sweeeeeeeet ( sucar)
Overall... There are much, much better restaurants nearby.. (we really can't understand the good reviews.....
Read moreDefinitely Recommend this restaurant. I was almost put off by the pervious review but we tried this restaurant anyway because it had other great reviews. We ordered chicken korma, chicken jalfrezi, lamb biryani, onion bhaji, garlic and plain nan bread and pilau rice. All for take out. The meal was really very good in fact one of the best we’ve had in a while. It was obviously cooked fresh as I had to wait 20 minutes even though it was early in the evening and the restaurant was quiet. The portions were big ie (one meal easily fed two people with the rice, bread and bhaji’s) We had loads left so I stored it in the fridge after it cooled (quickly) and reheated it in the microwave for lunch the next day. It was just as tasty the next day. I’d definitely recommend this restaurant and will use it again....
Read moreThis lovely family runs the restaurant (also delivery and take- away) and provides some proper Indian food. The service is smooth and quick and the food is simply delicious. I love their starters such as papadums, chicken pakora and the seekh kebab. For the main dishes there's so much to choose from. The Madras, Vindaloo and Phal give you 3 levels of heat where Madras is the mildest of them. If you're up to it try the Phal Curry but it's really hot!! They don't play around with this :-)
Adding a selection of naan with Raita and your dish is ready!
For vegetarians there are plenty of options as well.
