KING CAFE — Restaurant in Cartagena

Beware! Rude, bad mennered and uneducated waiter. We seated here in this restaurant with my Family. The waiter is very rude to my kids. Already from the beginning when my kids went inside as my daughter needs to go to the toilet and my son was checking something in the screen. He rudely told to my kids to go back to their sit. My kids warned me and by mistake we still seated and ordered. On my daughter’s milk shake she found cotton. I ask the waiter what was it in the the milk shake and answered defensively telling us, it is probably my kids put it in to the drink as they are playing together. He started a big seen, shouting out loud and telling us that we are causing the problem that we are giving him so much trouble. We stayed calm and left the restaurant. It’s not worth defending ourselves as his short minded self won’t change anything. It’s very traumatic to my kids what the waiter’s behaviour. I have to explained to the kids that what he did is not normal, normal people treat others with respect and manners. If you can, avoid sitting here and there’s many good restaurants...

Beware - check the price before you buy. Visited this cafe wit my wife for 2 coffees with milk. They were fine but when I went to pay the bill was charged 5.50€. This is the most that I have ever paid for 2 coffees in Spain - the average price being 3.40€. When challenged the waitress looked sheepish and the manager said it was because it included crema but it was no different to any other coffee we had. We didn’t know what to do as he wasn’t going to budge and we worry so paid. Service was very bad waited a long time just to order a couple of coffees. We kept asking the young lady that seemed to just walk around. She just would not come over and take the order instead asked the other lad to serve us!! Eventually when the coffee came it was stone cold. We tried several times to pay she tried her best to ignore us so in the end we paid at the bar on way out. Needless to say we will not return. Such awful service just for coffee hate to think what it would have been like if we had a meal. We'll we will...
