Restaurante Los Pescadores — Restaurant in Chiclana de la Frontera

I've never experienced such poor treatment at a restaurant. Knowing they didn't take bookings, we arrived at 9.00pm as they were opening. My son, who is fluent in Spanish, politely asked a waiter if we could have a table for our party of ten, preferably outside.

The waiter responded rudely and dismissively, waving his hand vaguely towards the back of the restaurant and saying "in there" before walking off without another word. My son was left speechless. Despite there being plenty of space outside, this member of staff seemed entirely uninterested in helping us.

Unsurprisingly, we chose to leave immediately and found another restaurant nearby, where, the staff were friendly and welcoming.

In hindsight, I'm relieved we didn't stay. After such a discourteous reception, I would have resented spending a single cent at Los Pescadores.

One of the worst most unwelcoming places I've ever been to in my entire life. The waiter was appalling, we wanted a table of 10. We would have easily spent over a thousand euros, 'but we had to all be there' even though our wives were around the corner disgusting attitude which I told the waiter. The two female waiters seemed more receptive but the guy flurrying around looking like he owned the place who wasn't even a manager gave us 10 minutes for our wives to come. I said what's with the attitude. He shrugged his shoulders and I said well. There's no need to be a rude about it because he was throwing his arms around being all I'm in charge and he's lost out on money I would never eat at this restaurant. The food looked terrible. It smelt awful and to be frank the waiters attitude was absolutely appalling. The manager needs to sack the guy as he's lost him...

Vamos todos los veranos varías veces a comer en la playa de Chiclana y nunca habíamos tenido problemas salvo esta vez..

Fuimos un día entre diario, llegamos a las 15:00 aprox y el restaurante y la terraza estaban a reventar de gente.

Nos apuntaron en la lista y teníamos 8 delante y en menos de 15 min estábamos ya sentados.

Queríamos comer paella y el camarero nos advierte que debemos esperar 1h, a lo que accedemos y pedimos varios entrantes para hacer amena la espera.

Ensaladilla, pulpo, ensalada mix, bacalao todo bien como siempre…

Pero llegó el camarero con la “paella” y se ve que hubo una equivocación en la comanda y nos trajo un arroz marinera, que es caldoso.

A lo que le decimos que no es lo que habíamos pedido y que por favor nos trajeran la paella, y les decimos que no nos importa esperar.

Pues 10 min aprox después llega nuestra “paella” y cuando la vemos la notamos un tanto rara… cogemos la cuchara para apartarnos las raciones en el plato y vemos como un exceso de caldo fuera de lo normal y el arroz pasado..

Llamamos al camarero para decirle que como es posible que en 10 min nos hayan traído una paella y que el arroz estuviera pasado…

Intuimos que habían cogido el arroz marinera y le habían puesto en la paellera y le habían pegado un calentón…

Obviamente ni probamos la paella y pedimos la cuenta.. en un principio en el ticket aparece la paella pero tras comentarlo con el camarero, nos lo quito de la cuenta y no lo pagamos y para compensar nos quisieron invitar a unos chupitos..

Quedamos bastante desencantados por este incidente que parece ser que no es la primera vez que pasa.. y que el jefe de cocina tiene que evitar que pase.

Volveremos en septiembre como le dijimos al camarero, para darles otra oportunidad y esperamos tener más suerte para...
