Blanc I Negre — Restaurant in Ciutadella

It was a bad experience in most ways. We went there for an early and easy dinner but ended up with bad stomaches. Our drinks were served fast. The food looked OK, but tasted strange / bad. The place itself needs a thorough cleaning, especially the toilets. Filthy. The waiter, a big guy, acted very unpolite to people standing outside the bar(!). It seemed he didn't want people to watch the TV which is facing the street and showing fotball on the bar terrace... He was OK with us, but seemed bothered by serving the guests anything else than drinks. All in all, an awkward dinner topped with stomache problems. This is a small "sports bar" in Cala Galdana, a relaxed and pleasant little city in Menorca. Sports bar only in that they have a TV showing som fotball matches on the small terrace. Except for our hotel this was the only place to go for a beer and watch a match. Problem is that the place needs a thorough cleaning, everything from restroom, tables to the glasses you are served in are not clean. This is very unhygienic and getting sick on vacation is not what i need.

We have been visiting Cala Galdana for a few years and when Raul and Sergi took over Blanc I Negre (or Black & White as the English call it) 2 years ago they totally transformed the place! It is such a very friendly welcoming bar and they treat us as friends as opposed to clients. They offer a good range of drinks and show all the major sporting events.
