Read moreWe go to FED on a fairly regular basis and are never disappointed. The place is inviting on the inside, while the terrace has great views and is comfortable and cocooned from the street below and shopping centre. Music volume and vibe are entirely apt: loud enough to muffle traffic but quiet enough to chat with your companions, and chilled out, often with a 70s lounge funk feel. These are all great things but it gets even better. The service is friendly, warm and professional - you feel there is enjoyment and pride in the establishment and that everyone is pulling together.
The menu changes from time to time as the chefs try out new dishes. There are eastern, Latin American, and TexMex influences alongside typical Andalusian and Spanish dishes, high quality ingredients cooked with real skill. It’s difficult to recommend particular dishes as they are all fantastic, but if I had to choose, the tuna tataki starter and grilled Iberian pork are exceptional. Unless I am in the mood for a burger and dirty fries, which are the best in the area 😊 (the new jalapeño burger and Mexican dirty fries are wonderful additions).
FED also serve excellent cocktails and wines, making it a great bar as well as restaurant.
Really, you cannot go wrong with it as a place to visit for a casual lunch, or more formal dinner. You’ll be well fed (yeah I know…), well watered, and very well looked after at every moment. It’s a genuine highlight around...
Read moreOn our recent visit to Spain, we visited here after it was recommended by a family member. We visited on a Thursday night so it wasn’t too busy, but it does get busier on the weekends, so I would definitely recommend booking! This place offers a lovely, laid back, modern bistro vibe, perfect for a casual meal. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly staff member that showed us to our table. The service that followed was great, everyone was so accommodating, personable, and we’re happy to help. We opted for two starters - the Hummus and the Pil Pil King Prawns. Both of these dishes were beautifully presented however, there was a lot more hummus for the amount of pitta bread, meaning we had to pay for extra pita bread, this wasn’t a huge problem though and the hummus tasted amazing! We asked what the different types of hummus were, as one was the nicest we have tasted in a long time! For mains, we opted for: chicken Caesar salad, kung pao beef, Vietnamese chicken and the ‘Fed’ burger. The food was beautifully presented and the portions were huge! Definitely great value for money. For dessert, we ordered the banoffee pie which tasted amazing! We shared this between the two of us and it was still difficult to finish as the portion was so generous! Overall, we would definitely return here if we ever return to this part of Spain, from the service to the food itself, everything was up to a great standard-...
