Restaurante Chino Sheng — Restaurant in Coín

It really pains to write this review. This was a place we frequented weekly and recommended to a lot of people, we ate in and took take away and we were always very happy. HOWEVER , staff have changed and the service is terrible, really terrible the service before was quick and friendly and very attentive but now it’s very bad. The waiters forget to bring you the prawn crackers and then forget the sauces etc…… Today we went to have lunch honestly looking forward to it since last night but unfortunately it was our last visit. We entered at 14:00 and there was one other table of 2 eating. The waiters were chatting and just indicated to sit anywhere and then just threw two menus on the table and left, later they came to ask for drinks and take our order. The prawn crackers came out and surprise the sauce came quickly after BUT they were fried in very old oil and tasted bad so we passed, then the spring rolls came out burnt and when the first plate came out the waiter literally threw it on the table and left, the second plate with the smaller waiter came out in a better manner (marginally). We know food, we work with food every day. My plate came out with cold old rice and duck and vegetables from last week. Cold and Old. I called the waiter and sent it back explaining that it was cold and old and he snapped the plate and left coming back to ask 3 times what was wrong with the rice. He never said sorry or asked if I wanted to change the plate or communicated anything after a while I told him to just cancel my order, we could hear them behind that they were not happy but to be honest at that point neither was I. We have been happily visiting this place for over 5 years and it pains me to leave such a poor review, but the service from one particular waiter was the worst I’d ever seen: He barked rudely at customers. Threw plates down on the table, spilling some contents. Stretched over the top of diners to reach the other side of the table, instead of going around. He had poor personal hygiene, and seemed like he’d been out all night. In the end, one of us got so frustrated, we shouted at him and wanted to ask the owner to keep him away from our table.

The food itself was mediocre and some if it was uncooked / undercooked. It’s a shame, because it used to be such a lovely place to eat Chinese. The love seems to have left this place.

I hope they make some staff changes and improvements, because we would give them another chance, but not for...

I have been going to this restaurant for many years and now it has a third owner since I started. A takeaway earlier this year was fine... nothing special but quite acceptable. The service was OK but not friendly. On the latest visit the woman who came to take the order was downright rude. No smiles, no hello, no can I help you. I asked for the menu and started to order.. first two choices met with an abrupt "Don't have it" ...I gave up and left. Someone else I know remarked on how unfriendly the place is now. I do not expect to be greeted as a long lost friend but simple basic politeness would not harm. I speak Spanish and English so was not a...
