Tasca Eulalia — Restaurant in Dénia

Visited here on a recommendation. It's was the worst recommendation I ever got .We were a party of 4 on a visit to Spain, one of the starters was sent back because it was cold ,the replacement which came out 10 minutes later was only warm. Paella, which is a house special for two people, was dry with 6 small scrimp and, again, only warm. A steak which was to be cooked well done was delivered almost raw ,returned, and the second steak was almost the same.. There was no language barrier as the server spoke good English .The manager then got involved and asked me to wait for 2 minutes for a new steak to be cooked, we declined .She did not handle the situation very well ...on the plus side the Drinks were good. Would not recommend...

Very disappointing. This is one of Denia’s oldest and best known restaurants. I arrived at 8PM without reservation and was welcomed with a “donde quieres” by a waitress who clearly didn’t like single men to go out for dinner. By the way this is a recurrent problem and I wonder when singles are going to organise themselves to become a respected species in restaurants. I had the burger because it was mentioned on one of these food websites as the best burger in Denia. It was tasteless, the salad that was mentioned on the menu was not to be found and the meat was like chewing gum. Never again. Luckily there are lots of other restaurants in Denia to try out but they’d better welcome singles...

Fantastic discovery‼️ We were recommended La Tasca Eulalia by the hotel front desk beside two other choices but when we walked by the restaurant the frontman was friendly and convinced us to wait and discover their cuisine. We got a Table fairly quickly. There we met our server Luisa. I most admitted, the food was excellent but Luisa made all the difference. We weren’t familiar with the menu and she took the time to explain almost every single dish. At the end we order her favorite 4 dishes. We all had to taste each other’s food because they were all excellent.
