Wow! What a gem! We have been coming to Campello for the past 11 or so years and have been wanting to find a new favourite restaurant. Moreathos is down our road and it looked very appealing from the outside. So we thought we would try it.. On arrival (we hadn't reserved, it was approx 8.30pm) we were greeted by who I assume is the main man or at least head waitor. We asked for a table for 2 and he was very honest from the get go. He said we can sit and have a drink until the kitchen is ready for us. They only have a small kitchen and will take our order at 9pm. This was fine for us. We were grateful we could have a table!
Appearance - Tasteful signage, modern decor, inside has a lovely ambience. Good lounge style music playing inside and out.
Staff - The main guy was super helpful, friendly and honest. Very attentive throughout the meal, always came outside to see if we needed anything. Great conversation too about his home country of Uraguay
Food and Drink - Incredible!! We browsed the menu via QR code and chose a couple of starters followed by the 500g of meat. The waitor (I wish we got his name) expressed that we had ordered a lot and maybe we reconsider and remove one of the starters.. we thought this was very honest and also very glad he did tell us this!
We ordered - 2 x Tinto Veranos (very nice) Garlic mushrooms, Vegetable provolone to start. 500g of beef for main
We asked the waitor out of the meat what he would recommend, so we went with that, although everything looked amazing! The meat came with fries and some padron peppers on top.
Mushrooms - Oh my!! What a delight! My husband is a great lover of mushrooms. Me, not so much but I tried them and couldn't stop eating them! They were super tasty, cooked to perfection and every mouthful was a taste sensation 🤤 Vegetable provolone - Large portion, lots of chunky vegetables like corgette, mushrooms etc underneath the bubbling cheese. Served with a basket of bread. Very very nice.
Meat - 500g cooked Medium. Perfectly seared and cooked for us! Pinky, red in the middle without any leaking blood. Spongey and tender. The charred taste along with the moistness from the meat was just exquisite!! So tasty!!
We followed the meal with a glass of red wine of the waitors choice. Very nice too!
Honestly, we can't fault the food or the staff. We loved that the chef cooked in his way as it felt like we got great attention to detail on our food and not just a rushed restaurant!
We got the bill and was pleasantly surprised, it also included the tag from the meat, so you knew what you got!
We can't wait to come back and try more!! We will reserve next time.

Read moreFood was phenomenal. Flavours are excellent and well composed. We had a few sharing platters and then a meat and fish dish. Each was cooked to the way we specified, the meat was tender and fish was very fresh.
Friendly and accommodating staff too.
The menu can be found on your phone in English, if needed, and can then be automatically translated - which is a great perk if you need it.
The atmosphere is also nice, despite playing U2 for part of the night 😉the tables are a good size and nicely spaced a part so you don’t feel on top of other patrons.
A little pricier than other places, but I feel it was worth the price and considering the quality, good value.
Highly recommend and will come again to try...
Read moreWe have eaten at this lovely back street restaurant 3 times during our 10 day stay, introduced to us by our local friend. The food is delicious and very authentically Spanish. The staff are lovely and very accommodating. Very reasonable prices too. All food is cooked to order by the brilliant chef/owner and very fresh. The deserts are amazing too! The menu is accessible by a QR code on your phone and you can make a list of the things you would like, which is handy. Do look at all the headings, as wonderful things tend to be hidden away with some scrolling needed. Easy once you get the hang...
