La Masía Del Sur — Restaurant in el Campello

We turned up on the evening and luckily got a seat at the bar without a reservation. It was a busy evening full of locals and so the service was slightly slow but well worth the wait. The man running the restaurant caught me staring at some cured meat being prepared behind the bar and gave us a small portion as complementary, was a lovely gesture!

We will definitely come back again as the dishes we ordered were delicious (pulpo de gallega pictured), great portions and very reasonably priced. Desperate to try more as we saw everything go past us and damn did they all...

This is my favourite restaurant in El Campello. The food is high quality and the service is excellent. I recommend the jamón, tenera en salsa, gambon gabardina and the almecas but to be honest everything is good. The prices are very reasonable and Jesus the owner is very welcoming. Fue una cena para 4 y no comprendimos bien por qué el trato fue desagradable desde que llegamos. En la sobremesa tenían prisa por cerrar y limpiaron la mesa de justo detrás con producto fuerte que nos hizo incluso toser. No era la primera vez que íbamos, las anteriores veces (hace más de un año) estuvieron bien pero en esta ocasión lo escribo porque estuvimos incómodos y más gente nos lo ha mencionado el cambio en el trato, por si sirve de algo para que vuelva la simpatía a un lugar que antes la tenía. La comida que pedimos además ha perdido algo de calidad, aunque cuando estás incómodo, quizás se 'saque mas punta a todo'. Es un buen lugar, espero que sirva para que mejoren la amabilidad, de verdad fue muy sorprendente, quizás un mal día que pagasen...
