I thought I’d give this hotel restaurant a try since it was late and convenient. I was quite hungry after a long drive. I had the pumpkin soup, leg of lamb, and the chefs dessert. The pumpkin soup had a nice consistency but tasted like velveeta. The leg of lamb was the only thing that made this dinner bearable and nearly saved the meal. I’d say if you’re going to order anything go with the lamb that comes with gravy and potatoes. I ordered the chefs dessert which ended up being a caramel sponge cake with whipped cream. It was incredibly dry and tasted as though it was made a week ago. The service was somewhat friendly. The price was ridiculous for the quality of the food and seems the restaurant is taking advantage of the customers staying at the hotel. Her veggies were frozen veggies straight out of a supermarket that had been reheated. My salmon was very dry and the chips were also frozen and reheated like the veggies. Read moreI would avoid the "hamburgers" here (both the regular and the vegan one). The regular one was a piece of dry ground beef (no bun) with 2 slices of yellow cheese and a huge ball of mostly unmelted mozzarella on top (why so much?). The vegan "burger" was 2 dry vegetable patties, more suitable for children than adults. No sauce with either of the burgers and pretty greasy potato slices on the side.
