On May 11th, I reserved a table for May 16th, which was confirmed to me via messenger. When we arrived, no one knew about the reservation. While it wasn't a problem, as there were plenty of free tables, it still shows poor organization.
At the table, the waiter asked us what we wanted to drink. Aside from a cocktail menu, from which my wife chose a mango mojito, I couldn't find a drinks menu. The following conversation started: Me: Do you have beer? Waiter: Yes, we do. Me: What beers do you have? Waiter: We have bitter beer and toasted beer. Me: Okay, what brands? Waiter: Aguila, Heineken, and Spanish brands. I was thirsty, tired of asking questions, and ordered a large draft beer. In retrospect, I realized that they don't show customers a drinks menu and prices, as a (poorly poured) beer costs €5.50.
My wife's cocktail was super sweet. I went to the counter and asked for it to be made less sweet, anyway. The waitress refilled it with alcohol - and Sprite. Sprite in a mojito?! I've heard people cry in Cuba.
Then the food arrived. Both burgers looked good, and the Crabby's Especial Burger was truly delicious. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the Double Cheese Bacon Burger. It was terrible. The meat was cooked to death, and the more it cooled, the harder, drier, and more inedible it became. The sweet little cat begging for food at our table was very happy because I fed her almost all the meat. I told the waitress who came to the table and told us that the cat's name was Susi that the cat was very happy about my bad burger meat because she liked it, but the paying customer didn't. No reaction.
Later, when I was ready to pay, I waited forever for a waiter, and when my wife started to get cold, I went into the restaurant to the counter, where the three waitresses were standing and chatting. As I was paying at the counter, the waitress asked me how the food was. I replied that my wife's burger was very good and mine was very bad. She said I should have said something beforehand. I replied that I had said it when she was at our table because of the cat, but she...
Read moreRude waitress and staff, don't take food safety and allergies seriously.
I'm pregnant, and need to be very careful about uncooked food that's not disinfected properly because of the risk of toxoplasmosis. We specifically asked for all uncooked vegetables to be removed in the burger, the order came back without any modifications. What followed was a 10 minute discussion back and forth, with each of the waiters giving us contradictory information and insisting we take the order as it is. The waiter said the vegetables are not disinfected after checking with the kitchen, while the waitress said they are disinfectant and honestly she seemed to be lying or atleast not giving us the same information as her colleague.
They ended up removing the uncooked vegetables, and giving me COLD leftovers of the same order
Extremely unpleasant experience, the staff does not care about food safety and just wants you to eat the food as it is despite potential risks...
Read moreCrabby’s was a complete surprise. At first glance its bar food and casual but all the food was amazing. Try the Crabby’s special burger with crab and prawns, coleslaw and fries on a brioch bun. They have double burgers cooked to you liking served with fries. The meat was excellent. They also serve a bluefin tuna tartar in a unique hot dog style flat sided bun. Nice presentation and great tuna. We had the white sangria it was fine but more cinnamon tasting than fruit. The service was excellent. Waiters spoke English and Spanish. The view from the tables of Cadiz Bay and the bridge and lights of Cadiz was beautiful. This photo was taken facing west from the restaurant. Great...
