I walked one kilometer to eat here because, first, parking was impossible to find near my hotel and did not want to give up my space, and, second, the menu and photos made it appear that the food was nearly authentic Mexican.
The server spoke a little English, so I ordered a small pitcher of margarita, a half-order of nachos (€4.75) , and the Tacos Tijuana (€11.00).
The margarita was too sweet and had little alcohol. Meh!
The server told me that I could not order just chips and salsa and I thought he said that I could order a 'half' order of nachos, but when the nachos arrived, it was a full order (€9.50), obviously a miscommunication, so I let it slide. The chili was not bad and it came with a small cup of green salsa, guacamole, and pico de gallo, but the chips were not house-made as appearing in the photos I saw, they were Tostitos. Had I known, I would not have bothered. Meh #2!
The tacos arrived looking pretty good, four corn tortillas with a decent portion of carne asada and guacamole and they were pretty tasty, but four small tacos for €11.00 was not exactly a TravelValue.
Overall, the food was decent, not great, and the service good, so I will go easy on them even though I was told the chef was from Tijuana. I should not have walked so far for what I got.

Read moreWe’ve had authentic Mexican food in Mexico and amazing Mexican food in the U.S., so we were hopeful when we saw this place had a 4.3-star rating and over 500 reviews. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t measure up.
We ordered the California beef burrito—the top item on the menu—but it was a confusing mix of ingredients that didn’t come together in any meaningful or flavorful way. My wife’s chicken fajitas were dry, bland, and honestly the worst we’ve tried anywhere. There was no seasoning, no sizzle—just disappointment.
We get that finding bold Mexican flavors in Spain can be hit or miss, but this one...
Read moreWhen this place opened a few years ago, it was fantastic. We even brought our guests here a few times. We hadn't had a chance to go back for a couple of years until today. We returned to total disappointment. The tortillas were chewy and dry. Cochinita pibil was overwhelming with clove and not much else. I'm not sure that the kitchen staff has actually seen a birria taco in person to know how to make it properly - whatever came in our assorted pack was definitely not it. It seems that this place, like many restaurants, fell victim to complacency. For the prices you charge, you could do so...
