Restaurante Casa Luis — Restaurant in El Sauzal

Very "interesting" place - as they have NO MENUS, so no prices, and host don't speak English. Anyway, the place is still decent! Charming interior. We ordered some seafood - some cuttlefish and squid. We expected to receive a grilled squid, but instead they gave us squid rings in batter. :( Some other guests had very tasty-looking grilled fish - should have ordered that option too, but we did not wanted to gamble with the cost of our meal..

All meals come with some vegetables on the side. Portions were decently sized - we barely finished ours and were pretty full. However our food was either overcooked or not that fresh - because both cuttlefish and squid were chewy (we had much better experience in the previous days on this island in other restaurants).. :(

Amazing fish and sea food! this restaurant offers only what has been caught on the day, so while there is no fixed menu you are guaranteed to enjoy super fresh food, I loved it!.... if you like Octopus please make sure you ask if they have it, it was a delicatessen!. If you are not much into sea food and prefer fish they also have fresh fish of great quality, taste and perfect preparation. I was also impressed how clean the place is kept, Enrique the owner is a star!, I went with a groups of 6 friends and asked him to take care of us and bring to the table whatever he would suggest, it was a feast of tasty food, we enjoyed every bite so much that the following day we were again there. Thank you very much for the great service and food provided, hope to be there again...

Yo comprendo que ayer sabado a medio día estaban bastante atareados con tantas personas pero el atendimiento de los camareros que estaban en la barra fue por decirlo de manera "suave" muy poco profesional después de esperar bastante para pedir unos cafe, primero atendieron a unos que llegaron bastante después que nosotros al decirselo, contestaron de muy mala manera poniendo como excusa que a los que les habian servido los cafes era porque ellos habian comido allí Cuando les hice saber que esas personas era imposible que hubiesen comido alli ya que eran del mismo grupo que iba conmigo, pero que habian llegado bastante después que nosotros, empezaron las malas contestaciones diciendonos que entonces habia sucedido un despiste de ellos, pensando que habian comido allí, pero que ellos no servian nada en la barra si no eran clientes que hubiesen comido allí. En el bar no habia ningun cartel que anunciase eso y además de ese otro grupo de amigos, habian también otras personas que entraron igual que nosotros a tomarse unas cervezas y a ellos si que las atendieron. En fin, será un lugar de ensueño o no, no son cosas que enrto a valorar, pero la actitud de los camareros que estaban a las tres de la tarde (más o menos) fue chulesca, pre-potente y deja mucho que desear, como para no volver a pisar ese lugar núnca...
