Restaurant Miramar — Restaurant in es Castell

We ate here at around 9.30pm after a tour at the St Filip Castle. We hadn't booked and a lot of the tables had a reserved sign, but they easily found a spot for us outside (and the tables never all filled up while we were there anyway). Ordered the tostada with sobrassada and honey plus the chiperones to start - chiperones were the highlight, light batter and melt-in-the mouth. Fish stew and rice and Cuttlefish as mains - both delicious, the stew had cuttlefish, prawns, mussels and maybe other fish in a broth. A beer and a coke and it came to around €65 which we were very happy with given the quality of the food and the wonderful setting looking out over the harbour. Lovely cheerful service by...

This was my 1st visit here with my wife for a late evening drink.This cafe restaurant does have about 5 tables inside & about 18 tables available on the outside terrace.After finding a spare table for 2 ,a staff member was quickly upon us & seemed a bit taken a back & disappointed when I ordered just 2 glasses of Sangria & I didn't ask for the menus .Well it was 11pm & we had already eaten at our hotel,not that I had to explain the situation ! The drinks came quickly & were OK but nothing special to shout about and finding out they cost €6 each made me think is it the location I'm actually paying extra for ? Don't think I'd bother...

Pedimos para picar una tostada de sobrasada y la trajeron con un pan de molde barato ni siquiera estaba tostado...la sobrasada dejaba mucho que desear y la decoración aun más. De segundo nos pedimos la fritada variada y nos encontramos con la desagradable sorpresa unas croquetas caseras hechas con muy mala gana sin sabor a nada era solo pura Bexamel sin sabor alguno los mejillones tigre exactamente lo mismo Bexamel rebozada sin sabor a nada y los boquerones mal fritos. Se lo comentamos al camarero ya que al dejar la cuenta el pregunto que tal habíamos cenado cosa que se tomó muy mal y se ofendió y se puso en plan borde y mal educadamente nos dijo que no nos lo hubiéramos comido (evidentemente no voy a ponerme a buscar un restaurante a las 11 de la noche cuando todo esta lleno y veníamos de estar todo el día de cala en cala sin comer) muy mala experiencia y desagradable el trato que nos dieron además de la clavada que nos pegaron que fue de 42€ cosa que no lo vale ni mucho menos.y para rematar salio el dueño con escusas batatas defendiendo la mala cocina y diciendo que el pan no era de molde que las croquetas eran espectaculares en fin... una tomadura del pelo total.nos sentimos estafados al pagar la cuenta. Resumiendo si vuelvo al puerto de mahon no volvería a este restaurante y menos lo voy a recomendar a nadie por la mala educación del camarero la malisima cocina y la clavada que nos pegaron! Una tomadura de pelo total!! Lo único que puedo decir a favor es la localicacion el sitio en el puerto muy agradable. Como restaurante deja...
