Dinner at Sa Tuala is one of those rare experiences where everything aligns, food, service, setting — without any of it trying too hard. The rooftop terrace has a dreamy, quietly magical atmosphere, and the service is warm, relaxed, and on point.
The attention to detail is so finely tuned you almost don’t notice it, everything just flows.
The food is exceptional. It’s genuinely hard to pick a favourite. The croquetas de gamba are a standout, intensely flavourful yet light and crisp. The raviolis de gamba are delicate and beautifully balanced, the pasta barely there. The calamari with caramelised onion was tender, full of depth, and perfectly seasoned. We also had mussels in a creamy sauce and a watermelon salad to start; fresh and summery without being obvious.
To finish: a lemon pie with just the right hit of citrus and a surprisingly delightful “chocolate on toast” with sea salt that hit all the right nostalgic and indulgent notes. Glasses of local Menorcan wine paired perfectly. The full stop on the evening, a frozen pomada ✨
Update: We returned. 😊
And we’re so glad we did. We started with a chapitu of sandía, and the pastel de tomàquet, topped with creamy tomato ice cream - was a total surprise and absolutely sensational. The gambas with artichokes were beautifully cooked. We had to repeat the croquetas de gamba (too good not to), but also tried the croquetas de sepia, which were just as moreish. The tuna carpaccio was light, fresh, and delicate, and the pulpo was tender and full of flavour. The bacalao - wow. Perfectly cooked, rich without being heavy.
We ended with the homemade chocolate truffles, to finish the evening off perfectly.
Still one of our favourite...
Read moreI have been looking to visit this restaurant for quite a while as externally it presents very well. When we visited it began well but unfortunately it went downhill from there. After 5 mins we realised our table was next to a smoking area (we were not informed). We did change table so ok. We ordered our meal and the first course was ok, the main course arrived and when my wife cut into her steak the blood oozed out, fine if you ordered blue but my wife had requested medium rare!!!!. In fairness they took it away to cook it properly but I had to eat my meal alone and I was nearly finished when it was returned. No apoiogies were offered. When my wife had finished we requested the bill, and then we requested 4 other people we probably waited more than 15 minutes as they were more interested in filling more tables than serving the tables they already had filled. We will not be...
Read moreBest dinner we had on the island. Nice style of cuisine with good local ingredients and modern presentation , everything very tasty and super super fresh. They definitely know how to prepare fish without spoiling the delicate taste. Also a very good selection of vegetarian dishes. Everything was perfect but my favourite was the squid with sopresada such a nice combination. The service is fast but not pushing. The girls serving are super sweet, friendly, and attentive. They know the menu well and can give good suggestions with a beautiful smile. Thanks for the beautiful...
