If you work in a restaurant you should know what customer service is. Didn't feel welcomed at all. This is clearly a locally loved plus as regular customers could be seen chatting and all getting on with the waiters etc. Which was lovely to see. Yet us being tourists felt completely ignored, and we just wanted nice peaceful meal but still be treated fairly and with care. Took our orders wrong, also felt little judged when they could see we were English, no one came to ask if everything was okay with our food whilst we ate, took ages to clear plates even though stood chatting for ages . I've never felt so out of place nor not wanted. I work in the customer service industry and you should treat everyone the same no matter your personal opinion. Plus i would make anyone feel welcome as that's the whole point of customer service. Also no toilet roll in the toilet and no thank you or goodbye for our custom. Such a shame as I did enjoy my main and fornells I really like as it's peaceful less touristy place but let down by this restaurant.
We've been to same lovely places here in menroca and felt so welcomed. It's shame i felt not wanted. I left feeling quite upset. We're currently learning Spanish but I wouldn't go back here, and unfortunately probably...
Read moreSo full disclaimer, I know the owners of this fantastic restaurant in Fornells. I have to say I have been coming to Fornells for 20+ years and I have eaten at the mother restaurant Sa Nansa for most of those. Last night I was privileged to be invited to eat at Petit by the owners. We had a fantastic meal- a number of tapas dishes: steak tartar, tuna tartar, Ortegas, croquettes and the signature dish of fresh tomatoes with Mahon cheese and ice cream. It was an explosion of flavours and a pure culinary delight. My partner and I love food - we have eaten around the world in great restaurants. This food was exceptional. Seriously good and a real change to anything we have experienced here in Fornells. It would be a shame not to try it for yourselves. Worth a visit from wherever you are on the island. The cocktails are a delight too. Give it a go, and let me know your opinion. I wish Petit all the luck in the world....
Read moreVery good tapas, all cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The octopus had the right amount of char with tender meat. Brioche was excellent with a lovely balance of sweet and savory. The lemon tart, one of the best I've had before.
Lovely little eatery and excellent value considering the quality and location (5 dishes and 2 desserts + drinks for €89.50!). Service was also very good, something I've rarely experienced on the island so far, all the waiters were very friendly and attentive.
If I'm here again I'd return without a doubt and...
