The restaurant is located along the Camino route, so it’s common to see pilgrims among the patrons. I appreciated that the menu includes fresh salads and vegan options, including almond and oat milk for coffee. The service was excellent, and the toilets were clean. I particularly enjoyed the hummus.
My only gripe was the sweet dressing on the salad — purely a matter of personal taste. I prefer a simple mix of vinegar and olive oil, and I should have checked the ingredients more carefully or asked for plain dressing. It seems that sugar/honey was added to all the salad dressing as my parents had the same issue with the ham-goats cheese salad, but again that was really our oversight. Read moreWow, what mouthwatering delicious food. I'm a big guy from Texas and just came off the Camino and ordered 3 items: Guacamole and Chips were so fresh and tasty, Potatoes with Harissa and melted cheese I gobbled down they were so darn good (kind of like cheesy fries but so much better and healthier), and the mixed salad with tuna which was amazing and contained more fresh greens than I've had in my entire time in Spain (a mixture of green spring leaves, some frisee, even some mache! Which is usually found in France, beautiful big dark green farm picked olives, and huge slabs of very high quality tuna.) I hope they breakfast because I want to eat there...
Read moreI would have happily eaten at this restaurant. Unfortunately that did not happen so I can’t comment on the food. We misread the sign on the door about the kitchen being open and asked the lady a question about food. She was rude in her response saying the kitchen wasn’t open and made a comment that I couldn’t read. In my defence I had just finished walking 20 km on the Camino Frances to arrive in Estella. So this was not a good impression. I decided to take me money elsewhere and support another local business. Too bad as I would!have liked to try the food. If you’re wanting to avoid a rude interaction and poor customer service I would...
